I promised you Pics of my latest santas and things, so here you go :)

He has silver and gold highlights :)

Antiqued, with a lighter than normal stain. I hand mixed it to be lighter than the usual blend I use. I like the results. Will use it again!

Slightly blurry, sorry about that. These guys are tall and slender. I wish I had more, they were fun to paint.

My personal favorite. Antiqued, medium brown.

Antiqued, medium brown. His coat goes from light green to pine green but kinda got dulled by the antiquing stain. Shouldn't have used it on this one :/ too late now.

Punkin :)

Finally finished these two. Pardon the glare, they're super shiny!

Boo! The inside of the letters are glittery and the whole thing is outlined with glow in the dark paint :)

I have five more santas in the works and a handful of other things.

My hands hurt something fierce :/

You've been busy!!! These are fun. Interesting: I take exception to your comment about how the antiqued light green/pine green color came out for the Santa. I think it's rather pleasant, and muted colors have a charm all their own. What you have in your collection above is a nice variety of colors and hues. They're all nicely done, and I think my personal favs are the green Santa and the Boo! for Halloween!

@JenniferS

I left the "new job" after 2.5 days.

Day one I learned the office staff, as the office manager put it, "don't give no effs bout these aye hole s---bags", referring to the patients.

Day one, the first patient I met was a heroin addict who just learned she was pregnant. Again. With number five.

Day one, patient came in so drunk he puked then passed out in the waiting room. Again, the office staff couldn't possibly care any less.

Day two, on my walk down to the office, I was harassed by a patient who grabbed me, called me a c--t, and threatened me.

Day two I was called a b---h no less than five times.

Day two, the office staff thought nothing of it.

Day three, I was cussed at by office staff, office manager, patients, and after sobbing so hard in the bathroom (pity party, table for one) I went back to my desk only to have a hep b+ patient throw a urine sample at my face. Thankfully, my desk was enclosed in glass (and now I know why) and five minutes later, purse in hand, barely touched iced coffee in the other, I walked out of those terrible doors and didn't look back.

I've never cried so hard over a job in my life.

I'm almost speechless after reading this. My only regret is that you didn't walk out the door sooner. I've experienced a few toxic work environments throughout my working career, but let me tell you: I have never heard anything even remotely as bad as what you went through. Thank God you are out of there.

I love pulling in off the road and into my driveway and see Walt looking out the Walt Window, next to the front door he goes from looking longingly to a big happy dawg smile. Melts your heart.

Oh, I LOVE this!!! Jack has his Jack Window, too! He stares and stares, waits and waits--but just as soon as one of us comes home and opens the door--he's ecstatic!! He knows if he stares long enough, it will magically bring us home to him! :joyfull:

Threw a quilt on my bed and flannel sheets. :(

The anticipation builds up for taking out the quilt and flannel sheets! :D Every time the weather man tells us it will be nice and chilly around 40, the next day he tells us it will be back up to 70 again. Can't stand this yo-yo weather pattern in September. Just get cold and keep cold, for heaven's sake! :p My favorite season next to winter is fall, with gorgeous crisp, chilly mornings and clear skies. Ahhh . . .

Funny because I had an interview at Target and couldn't even get that. The lady is like you have a bachelor's, why do you want to work here?"

My first job was just staying where I work-studied in college. My second job was a step up but still in the horribleness of the food industry. Which I hated working with food but then I came to the fact that it was the job and my boss was Hitler.

So now almost 30 :arghh:, no where near where I want to be.

Just a random thought here: have you considered career counseling? Sometimes, those people can be very helpful and point out ways to tailor your resume, depending upon the company you are applying for. They can also be helpful by providing other job search methods as well. Also, I think one thing employers look for is a clear career direction that you can present to them. Career counselors can help guide you through that, via practice, mock interviews, and also how to best capture your goals on a resume.

Back in 2001, when the economy was far worse than it is now, I also had a heck of a time getting a job (even with an established work record, good references, etc.). The state offered (free) job seminars, one-on-one job counseling, and even a few job fairs. They were an immense help to me; and if nothing else at that time, it was comforting to speak to other unemployed people who were there as well. We'd exchange experiences and tips; and networking even amongst ourselves, I recall two people who actually scored jobs from leads from others in the group. You never know where your next job prospect will come from. And, as @Gabe1 mentioned, all you need is one "yes" to be hired. It may seem like an endless journey to you now, but I assure you, that you'll eventually arrive at your destination. ;)

I have volunteered in a human resources office for 8 mths when I was working and almost got a job from it but thy hired internally. But I've applied to everywhere on the East Coast. I almost had a job right after college was over and then the stock market crashed and they were like were not hiring anymore. And leadership development programs and internships require you to be in college and I'm not going back to school. I've tried recruiters, my school....no help

wow.. that job position sounds like a revolving door for clueless and uninformed people seeking for a job.
Noone would want such a bad treatment and negative working environment!
Well, good or bad, it's a great thing when people can adopt that attitude and, even unhappily, help others that are obviously in need of help. Where would we be without these folks. It's takes the right temperament and a cast iron resolve to deal with situations like that on a daily basis. It's not for everyone, for sure, but it's great that there are some that can cope with it for an extended period of time. My hat's off to them.

Yeah, they work just fine until that little flap gets caught up on something and then it rips right off. It really needs that extra flap like a real wrist watch or belt has to tuck the tail under. It would help solve that issue. I really love the HM special edition along with the Figment. But if I payed that much I'd be ticked if I lost it. Plus with limited battery life, a poor investment.
You could get it just for collectible and not for using as magicband.

Okay, let's test it, shall we?

Do you see a photo of Canada's winning Olympic hockey team?

No? Me neither.

iOS8 glitch still in effect.
Speaking of IOS and Apple Iphone6.

There is a huge problem with the Iphone6.
the iphone is way too flexible, it can flex under normal use too much that it can break the internal parts.
so you either have a very strong case.. or your iphone will pretty much flex until it dies.
And guess what. Apple is refusing to fix them unless you pay. (claiming 100+ USD to fix each one)

The annoying part is.. buyers are reporting the bending after just mere 2 days of usage!

bonus points to LG for mocking Apple already about the #bendgate thing.

I had to go find them, 'cause I didn't know what they looked like...
