Us too but I had to one and done with manchild and then one and done with DD. My DS actually does not hate the show. New category, does not hate. :joyfull:

We don't hate it either. But, because of the way it's done, you just really only need to see it once, IMO anyway. :)
Although, we did see it during our summer of '12 trip 'cause youngest DD's BFF was with us and had never seen it before. Oldests DD's DFiance was with us on that trip (the one where he proposed to her in front of the castle) but had to fly back to Austin before that day. So, we went to see it on our last trip in summer of '13 when he was with us. We got into the stands as the clouds were building and then the bottom dropped out. Show was cancelled and we never made it back.
Unlike IJESS (which we do at least once every trip), there is no sentimental movie connection. Plus, at IJESS you may just get picked to be in the show. Oldest DD and DS did on our summer of '12 trip. :)

I promised you Pics of my latest santas and things, so here you go :)

He has silver and gold highlights :)

Antiqued, with a lighter than normal stain. I hand mixed it to be lighter than the usual blend I use. I like the results. Will use it again!

Slightly blurry, sorry about that. These guys are tall and slender. I wish I had more, they were fun to paint.

My personal favorite. Antiqued, medium brown.

Antiqued, medium brown. His coat goes from light green to pine green but kinda got dulled by the antiquing stain. Shouldn't have used it on this one :/ too late now.

Punkin :)

Finally finished these two. Pardon the glare, they're super shiny!

Boo! The inside of the letters are glittery and the whole thing is outlined with glow in the dark paint :)

I have five more santas in the works and a handful of other things.

My hands hurt something fierce :/

You have a steady hand, to pull off eyes like that, talent. I like your old world style. Reminds me of the era of
Christmas in A Wonderful Life.

I had one today too and then I checked my email to see 8 rejections waiting for me and the days not over yet.

I have an interview Wednesday. I'm debating to wear a suit or just a shirt/tie. Even though its part time and in Boston which means travel money......I would really really really love it and it's for one of the top companies in the world. OK, so maybe not top company. Fortune 250

Good luck! :)

Star Tours is fun, too. Don't forget about Walt Disney: One Man's Dream--I love that. Another favorite of mine is in the Walt Disney Animation Studios. I think it's either every 30 minutes, or on the hour--people sit a long drafting-style tables, and get to draw a Disney character, by following the CM artist at the front of the room, who guides you through it. You get to take your masterpiece home with you. If you go early to the park, you'll be in the first group to draw, with no waiting for this really fun drawing class!

One of mine and DS all-time fave attractions! We try to do it at least twice a trip. The rest of the fam always has to drag our beeeeehinds outta' there...! :)

I like it. But I don't go out of my way to see it. Same with Indiana Jones

I have not seen Indiana Jones in so long, when you have the whole show of that caliber memorized it is just boring, not that it is a boring show. That is one where I can't understand why they can't devise a new skit ever 5 years, it can't be that expensive in the overall spectrum of attractions to keep it fresh.

@JenniferS

I left the "new job" after 2.5 days.

Day one I learned the office staff, as the office manager put it, "don't give no effs bout these aye hole s---bags", referring to the patients.

Day one, the first patient I met was a heroin addict who just learned she was pregnant. Again. With number five.

Day one, patient came in so drunk he puked then passed out in the waiting room. Again, the office staff couldn't possibly care any less.

Day two, on my walk down to the office, I was harassed by a patient who grabbed me, called me a c--t, and threatened me.

Day two I was called a b---h no less than five times.

Day two, the office staff thought nothing of it.

Day three, I was cussed at by office staff, office manager, patients, and after sobbing so hard in the bathroom (pity party, table for one) I went back to my desk only to have a hep b+ patient throw a urine sample at my face. Thankfully, my desk was enclosed in glass (and now I know why) and five minutes later, purse in hand, barely touched iced coffee in the other, I walked out of those terrible doors and didn't look back.

I've never cried so hard over a job in my life.

Woof!
The fact that something sounding so promising became so immediately nightmarish is just mind-boggling...
At least that is behind you, now!
All the good wishes the world can spare to you! :)

I am a Bears Fan and a Chicago Cubs fan, talk about be a loyal fan. At least my Hawks have come through for me.
The Bulls had an amazing run when my children were small, but I was never a Basketball person. The refs are like French Skating judges.
The cubs are supposed to win the World Series next year against Miami. At least according to Back to the Future.

Ha! I am not a loser. I am not a loser.

Thanks for that.

One day, I will learn to wait on these stupid system upgrade downloads.
Maybe.

My husband designs computer programs for his businesses computerized machinery. Yet he know very little about everyday computer stuff. Today he sent a text to my DD that he just successfully upgraded to iOS 8 and that Words With Friends was again working correctly. We were so proud of him and wish he would have said something 'cause he really should have backed it up first!

I'm waiting for a bit before we upgrade. Does anyone know with the new upgrade if while texting if the phone guesses the words, giving you three choices like the new iPhones at the top? I'm hoping it does it for everyone and not just the new phones.

It was interesting, my tablet does that feature and I love it. Interesting when Apple starts gloaming onto other peoples software ideas a real role reversal.

Oh, I know! The "Cars" eyeballs plastered on the front of Walt's plane, too! :banghead: I went mental over that one, and I recall a thread (months ago) up in N&R or General, about this fiasco, and many hated it.

The only thing I don't recall from tours, even back in the 90s, was the show inside the warehouse, regarding the illusion in filming. Anyway, the earlier years of the Backlot Tour provided such a great guest experience, not to mention that it was much longer in length as well. I liked the "live" guides, too.

Yeah, with the full walking tour and then the tram that always had a long queue you could spend hours. I'm thinking my son was around 9, so maybe mid to late 90's when he was on the bumble bee and DH on the bike in the warehouse demonstration portion of the walking tour.

I love pulling in off the road and into my driveway and see Walt looking out the Walt Window, next to the front door he goes from looking longingly to a big happy dawg smile. Melts your heart.
Was pretty upset over something that happened at school today, something that has me considering whether I should transfer. Anyway, when I came home and was still crying, I went and laid on my bed and the cat came up, plopped up next to me, and proceeded to purr. She also let me cry into her fur. Sweet thing.
