I hope all the planning goes smoothly, like a breeze ;)

In other news.. finally seen TMNT.

so...what to say.. I ended with mixed feeling. Half amused, half infuriated after so many head shakes.

The FEW Good things in the movie:
  • Turtle Tots (they are adorable and their training part in the movie looks awesome)
  • Fight between Splinter and the Shredder. (really good fight, sadly too short. You felt the emotion.)
  • Donatello and Raphael. Specially Donnie.

The bad (almost all the rest):
  • Megan Fox (forget about bad acting.. she improved BAD ACTING to WHOLE NEW LEVELS. You could swap her for a post or Tommy Wiseau, and they would do better than Megan Fox. Its like she was just told to "sit there, act pretty and talk the lines.. dont do anything else!" by the director. This was the infuriating part.. SHE ACTUALLY REGRESSED in her acting skills. She did "act" better in Transformers I.. unbelievable.
  • Mickey dirty jokes. Just plain bad.. typical trash of Michael Bay movies. Mickey was plain unlickeable, obnoxious and creepy, TMNT 2012's as Mickey thousands times better.
  • The Foot, they are just your typical Michael Bay Bad Dudes(tm), Just "filler" with zero skills, they act like any kind of bad soldier.. no ninja here.
  • Karai has.. what? 5 lines.. and they last less than 5 minutes in total. She was totally wasted, she also was NOT A NINJA(she was using guns.. seriously!).
  • Vernon (while some guys think that Vernon's oneliners were funny, some of them were.. but he fell many times to the same levels of Michael Bay Trash(tm).. He was sometimes creepy and instantly you could label him as your typical internet "Nice guy" or "M'lady" guy. His part in final fight was at least memorable.
  • The director clearly shows that he is of the same type as Michael Bay.. except with ZERO experience and little skill. You could instantly see the horrible editing. You could go from one side to the next with no real bridge.. sometimes you get one boring bridge when there wasn't need of any! He sort of put all the attention, budget..etc.. on the CGI and the Action.. that he forgot the narrating.

Funny things: out of all the 20 people that were in the cinema with me.. 3 were kids.. 12 were younger than 30.. the rest were ADULTS OLDER THAN 30.. including a gradmah of around 70 years old.. who was clearly annoyed (I heard her complain how much they ruined Mickey.. I suppose she was a old skool fan)
Funfact.. the grandmah was there by herself.. alone.

Another bad thing.. The translation clearly messed up so many lines.. they clearly tried to "simplify" almost all the dialog to make it short as possible... and they unwillingly ruined a few things. Like translating "Mickey" (the michelangelo's short name) to "Mikai" (because it sounds like "Mickey" in spanish's spoken ABC)

Gotta love Grandmas that get out and about.

Man, more rude people today. I know it's WDW and people are going to be rude, but still. First, I was in line waiting for a pretzel and a woman line jumped me. Just acted like I wasn't even there. She got my evil eye (which according to my parents has kiled before). Then there were some Brazillians who tried (unsuccessfully) to line jump me during Pooh. Then there were a father and daughter taking their picture in front of the castle by a Photopass photographer. We were next in line, and just as we were getting ready to go up, they decided they weren't done and took several more minutes. And then some teenagers (younger than me) line jumped us AGAIN. At that point I was ready to leave, but the CM took one picture ans told them they were finished. Then he took ours quickly since he could see my brother was getting upset. Thank goodness for CMs sometimes. I swear though, the next person who does that is not going to get the evil eye and the curse word under my breath. They will get the less accomodating version of me.

MinnieM got it ALL WRONG. I can swim. Learned in the lake on our property.

NEWSFLASH EVERYBODY. I've been swimming for 44 years. :)
I can swim, but I cannot float.
The bottom half of me sinks like a stone, and pulls me straight down (kind of like a certain ship, in a certain movie of the same name).

If I'm not moving, I'm sinking.

...yes please. :)

I love large salads but I don't like a lot of dressing...just enough to give it a kick but not enough to make my spinach float. I don't normally really care for creamy, and prefer olive oil based. I love Italian house, but have been known to grab a lemon, a hunk of garlic, a handful of spice and a few tablespoons of olive oil and chuck it onto the salad.

However, there's a cilantro lemon creamy dressing that I lose my sheet over. It's sold in the southwest salad mix (cabbage, carrots, cilantro, pumpkin seeds, tortilla strips, $3.99) that is in the cold aisle at Target. The. Best. Ever.

I also am a big fan of fruit on my salad. There's nothing better than strawberries, blueberries, oranges lives and pineapple on a salad...and don't even get me started on apples! YUM.

No onions, please.

Thanks, I'm going to try the Target salad, sounds yummy.

Wendy's has a good fruit type salad-strawberries and blueberries, with a raspberry dressing. Slurp.

TMI Alert. Gentlemen, disregard.

I have a UTI. The nurse told me yesterday that there were nitrates in my urine sample yesterday.

Just got back from our walk, and boom, it's here.

I take two prophylactic Cipro each week, but now I will have to start a full five day regimen.
Also, I have a slight fever.

So much for getting an early night tonight - it will be at least an hour before the Azo kicks in.

Ugh, so sorry.

Men, don't read
I feel your pain. I get them several times a year. My doctor lets me keep symptom medication on hand. I also have test strips at home so I can know at the very first sign whether or not to call my doctor. She is usually nice enough to just consult over the phone, give me an antibiotic, and I just walk into LabCorp sometime within the next three days. Thankfully O haven't had one in a few months.

Always good to get those things checked out. They can go up in your kidneys and that is REALLY miserable. Yes, I speak from experience.
