Date rape drugs are not only slipped into drinks of women by their dates. It is a nickname for the drug, there is no rule that men can only put it in a woman's drink if they are on an official date, rapists don't have that type of rule of conduct. Ask your daughters if they would advise your granddaughters to turn their beverages over to a man that is a stranger for safe keeping. Lord lets hope not. But those who lack good judgement and trust strangers are the unfortunate ladies that fall victim to the date rape drugs. There is a reason why @StarWarsGirl95 radar went up.

The other option is to finish your beverage (or tip it out) before entering the arcade.

I doubt Disney objects to an empty mug being carried about.
Their objection is to potential spillage.

I'd take the spillage over rape.

Ran into a problem tonight...DW is at work so I was eating by myself tonight. So i started grilling a steak on the BBQ for myself. Then I realized one problem. I had absolutely no sides to go with it. No veggies, no potatoes, nothing. Apparently our last grocery store trip did not involve anything that grew in the ground. So...i just ate a steak...like an animal.

Did you at least use utensils and a napkin?

I read and re-read this. I hope you feel differently if you are ever a Dad to a Daughter. I sincerely hope Disney is more concerned about rape than arcade games. I'm personally going with Disney being far more concerned with their guests personal safety than a video game that does not belong to them but an outside contractor.

While I was in Disney a housekeeper was assaulted in the value resorts, we got an all call on our answering machine even though we were at the French Quarter suggesting to me that they do care about rape on their property. As we have seen over the years Disney unknowing hires some creeps and women like @StarWarsGirl95 has no way of knowing if the man that wants to take custody of her drink is a Creeper. You're thinking like a man and not a women. Spilled pop and rape are not nearly in the same category. Would you allow a strange man to take custody of your girlfriends, wife or daughters, Moms drink? I will bet it is not part of the CMs job description to take custody of guests beverages for just this reason, it should be reported that this CM is doing this, it is a dangerous practice.

I'm saying that it is highly more likely for a drink to be spilled in an arcade than someone to get drugs slipped in their drink at a Walt Disney World resort. You didn't understand what I was saying. If you think that I place spilled soda as a worse thing than rape, you obviously don't know me very well.

I would not let a stranger take my girlfriend's, wife's, or daughter's drink. I would instead tell them to drink it, dump it, or don't go to the arcade at all. I would not allow them to feel entitled enough to break the rules that are in place.

I would personally be insulted if a guest reported me because they assume I am trying to slip drugs in their drink, especially if it's just because I am a man.

PS- Maybe it's just because I'm a man that I think this way.

Given the date rape drugs being slipped into womens beverages do you really believe it is Sound Disney Policy to ask that beverages be left at the counter out of the sight of the guests? To me that is quite the liability Disney is taking on to safeguard beverages.

I thought about this after @StarWarsGirl95 posted and I'd be annoyed too. Disney removed the lockers from around the pool, what are you to do with their refill mugs? What will Disney do with refill mugs that are coming to the parks? Leave them with the CM as you get on the ride? To me if Disney is going to push the guests into purchasing refill mugs by inflating the prices of other beverage options then they best not mess with guests that purchased them and are using them around their resorts.

Disney has rules that they turn a blind eye to frequently. This reminds me of a CM that just wanted to mess with a guest. Bus Drivers ignore the refill mugs all the time. I boarded a bus every morning with coffee in a paper covered cup.

I have to agree, ITs conflicting and if you take the general image.. its kinda stupid.

If you have to enforce a rule, then you should have proper equipment to deal with it!. Including Lockers or some place to put the drinks on !
Hell, they could give special containers to visitors.

The entire situation isn't about date rape drugs, it's about the fact that Disney has a policy of no food or drink in arcades. I've said it enough, so I won't debate it anymore. To explain.

Let's imagine that you have a very set ruleset (like the one supposed to be at the California Grill)
If a CM is DOING HIS JOB in enforcing the rules, he should NOT BE CHASTISED for properly following the guidelines he was supposed to enforce.
If the other CM was NOT DOING HIS JOB despite clearly being hired for that. he should be fired. Regardless if you think "he had no problem with it". Its not his job to decide if he has no problem with it or not. Its the Owners and Management who should decide.

Spirited in his thread gave a huge rant regarding California Grill.
The place is supposed to be "high end" and should enforce the dress code.
But clients with huge entitlement kept complaining about it. Now (according to his review) you can see people with flipflops, hawaian shirts next to guys with formal suits trying to have a "high class" dinner.
That in my opinion is unacceptable.

Rules are set for a reason, not to just "annoy" the client or visitor.

Those things were the best cell phones ever..
super reliable, lasted weeks online, very good sound quality.. and strong as bricks.

This will not become an ongoing boring topic, but I thought I would share that I am once again on a diet.
A very strict, low calorie diet, which requires thrice-weekly visits to their clinic.

Post-hysterectomy last year, I gained 40 POUNDS!
I started a diet late last year, and ended up losing 32 lbs.

Unfortunately, Son #1 moved back home in March (glad he's home, don't get me wrong), and all the ensuing stress knocked me off the wagon. (Y'all remember the cops and all ....)
Anyways, I fell off the wagon big time - and ended up regaining 25 lbs!

The only reason I mention this is because we all know I like to say, "I'll have two, please", whenever you fine folks post food .

Here's my request - DO NOT FEED JenniferS.
