Attention Survivor friends!

I just saw the episode where Jenna left the game to be with her mother. It's the only time that I've been 100% supportive of someone leaving the game.
It turned out to be a wise decision. Her mom died 8 days later.

While I agree with her quitting, I can't believe she even went out there to start.

We cancelled our Jamaica trip in February of the year my dad died, even though we knew he had a few months remaining. I just wasn't willing to give up a week of what time we had left.

I have 8 on one side, 3 on the other.
I too have a small number of first cousins. Four on my dad's side and four on my mom's side.

But second cousins and first cousins once removed are a different story. My cousins on my dad's side will have four kids total once the next one is born. My one cousin is getting ready to have her first on my mom's side. Beyond that, I can't keep track.

I agree. My dad's one friend was caring for his ill father, who eventually passed. They knew he had time left, so his wife (now his ex-wife) told him to go ahead on his trip to WDW while she stayed home and cared for him (and so she could have a week of not having to sneak around with the man she was having an affair with. *sigh*). He regrets that decision. Thankfully, his father passed after he got home, but he feels like he wasted time he could have had with his dad, even if it was merely a week.

I was surprised she was there, too. I think the moment she got to the beach she realized it was the wrong decision.

Well, unless you or one of your kids went to a small private college in MD, doubtful.

I know I'll get hung up on. But some of the stuff I encountered at my internship were bad, so it can't be much worse.
I don't usually hang up on unsolicited calls.

Sometimes I lie.
"Oh you're calling for duct cleaning? I have electric baseboard heating."

Sometimes I just remind them that I'm on the Do Not Call List.
"Can I have your full name and the company name, so I can report you."

Sometimes I just waste their time.
"Hang on a sec, there's someone at the door." And then I don't come back.

And sometimes, I just speak gibberish.
"Lemon juice, post office, Bob Saget, NAP, dog house, caviar, light bulb (in my best Gru voice), chocolate bar, Terry Fox ...."
Guess who hangs up first.
