That would be high in Canada.

I just bought my kids 2 refurbed units - with a 90 day warranty, for $300 CAN each.

Of course, I don't know all the technical stuff on them, but Hubby says "more than they need for homework".
I just laughed. They don't do homework.
It depends on the model and the specifications.
Cheap mid and low level grade used laptops can cost that.
also new netbooks.
It all depends on the power, how light they are and how big they are (size wise)

example.. Alienware, XPS and other top of the line laptops, are almost thrice as expensive as for example.. a Dell Inspiron.

processors like Corei7 and corei5 are valued more than corei3, celeron m, pentium m or AMD equivalents.

having dedicated video cards also gives a boost in price (nvidia or AMD video cards vs integrated)

He has kissed the following cups: Champions League, Europa, FA Cup, League Cup....

Just not the league title...last year was the year...so close. I pretty much wanted to cry.
I mean in recent years.
he honestly had last year's cup.. and he somehow slipped with 2 errors, giving points to Manchester City.

In other side, thanks god United got rid of Moyes.. horrible manager.

Because I can't speak Spanish either. So all that you typed might as well be Spanish because I don't understand any of it. It was supposed to be a joke, but, I see that it failed big time. Sorry!

Goofy.. you're therefore FIRED!
please report to your closest FunnyorDie arrangement office for your departure papers :hilarious:

And, that image still cracks me the heck up...!!! :joyfull:

And so freak'n purrrty
speaking of new ships.. my mother was interested in trying a trip in the newest ship of the Royal Caribbean line (the Quantum of the Seas) and found out it was completely sold out for the next 3 years lol!

As for today, there is a freak storm rolling in our town, clouds very low, very windy and lightning.
Its very rare to see rain this early in the morning with such conditions, we usually get afternoon and night strong storms.

Years ago I worked at an SS Kresge store. I started in high school and left after I graduated from college. Kresge and Jupiter were the smaller sized predessors to K-Mart (the K actually stood for Kresge). I think I still have my 5 year employee service pin laying around somewhere. We had blue light specials too and I used to have the dubious honor of doing some of the announcements for them....

K-Mart? How did I miss this?

I kept thinking @PUSH was just being cagey and not saying exactly for which chain store he was working.

We haven't had K-Marts up here since 1998. A whole bunch of them became Zellers; most of which have since become Targets.
And, as you know, Target Canada lost more than a billion dollars in its first year.

K-Mart - that's the home of the blue light special, right?
Blue light special? I've seen blue light graphics on signs and stuff, but I didn't know what you were talking about until I Googled it.

... and as always, thank you for shopping at your (insert location here) K-Mart!

I've read several of these off. But I'm not going to be a cashier (where you read them off) much longer as I'm going to be coded in as hardlines now. It means another 6ish hours of computer training, but it also means very few cashier shifts. It's a solid trade-off if you ask me.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
You remember my beautiful new $1200 bumper?

While I was putting something in the back seat, I walked around the front passenger side, and thought the bumper was a centimetre or two askew.

I get to my brother's and he takes a look at it, and notices that it's completely cracked again.
Closer examination reveals some animal hairs and dried blood.

Translation - Son #1 hit a raccoon (probably) while he was racking up almost 280 km driving on country roads back and forth from our town to the next.
Did he know he hit a critter? Can't see how he could not have!

Not

Again.

I will drive it with a slightly cracked bumper now until the flipping thing falls off.

Or better yet - make your son pay!
