When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
On the plus side, Idiot-boy and his two friends have gone outside. Presumably to smoke.

I warned them both when they got here that I was done with their disrespecting me and my home, and even a single whiff of pot and I'm calling the cops.

I might even have dropped a few F-bombs for emphasis.

Wasn't referring to you at all. I was talking about the current showing of "public service" commercials. All I am trying to convey is that everyone, mostly the people that we tend to establish our opinions on, will bend the topics to fit their own agenda's. I'm not saying that you are doing that by any stretch of the imagination, but, I feel that the ones that inform us sometimes mislead by implication instead of fact. In many of these cases there are no facts to be used as a foundation, just a coincidence that may or may not be relevant to the topic.

We can only convey what we are told and if we get incorrect information, then we pass it along. I really hope that you don't think that I feel that you shouldn't be trying to convince your daughter that smoking would be a great mistake. I was merely using your post as a jumping off point to my upset with the direction that the "stop smoking" campaign has taken. They are not giving out the proper information and by implying that because someone smoked it was the cause of all their problems is not using honesty in the area of informing. They have a single agenda and even though the end result may justify the means, I think that it is less then honorable to use the art of implying to achieve that end.

Sorry, for my not being clearer on that point.

Last weekend, I forgot to order salmon oil (you squirt a few drops in the dog food, and it helps to keep the dog's skin and fur in good condition). Petco had a sale on it online, and it was a good price for the brand I like. I just realized tonight that I had forgotten to order it, and was bummed because I thought I missed the sale.

However, I went to the site tonight, and it was still on sale—and now, they also had an additional discount: $5 off any purchase of $35 or more (I bought 2 large bottles), and they also have free shipping! Hence, despite my being a forgetful nitwit last weekend, I think I just saved an additional $15 by placing the order tonight! (It's just like Archie Bunker used to say, "God watches out for dingbats!") :happy:

While I did not like the idea of the misfit tribe, I did enjoy the faces of the contestants when they were told of the twist.

There are some very memorable moments in that season. Please post as you get to them (you will know what they are as you see them).
