I spied a red tomato this morning that is almost red enough to eat. 1st one.

Ive had my eyes on these three for a few days now, and deemed this morning to be "the morning" they get picked. I think I waited for just the right day, too.. they came off without hesitation and are perfectly round and red. I'm probably more excited over these tomatoes than I should be.

@Soarin' Over Pgh - I just saw this craft idea on the Proctor & Gamble website and thought of you - they are painted rocks as garden plant markers! I am SO doing this next year.

Me too. I'm going to put it in my winter chore list. Spring is always so busy. January through April I need stuff like this to get me through my Vitamin D deficiency.

The news this morning said this has been one of the coldest Julys on record for NE Ohio. It's currently 63*.

More record breakers:

Last night the Chicago Cubs played the Colorado Rockies and the game went 16 innings and was the longest game in the clubs history lasting 6 hours and 27 minutes as the teams battled it out for their claim on last place.
