Post musings of the day and after feeling the heat of having no AC unit in my room (where my big work machine is)

I just never imagined how much heat my computer generates.. I just exit my room and BANG! a wall of cold air blocking the HOT AIR inside my room.. even with the fans at max.

I think my room is nearly 38C (at night)
while the room with the AC is at 28C or less lol :in pain:

hopefully the nightmare will end tomorrow.. they are installing the units on my room tomorrow.

I really hope Murphy's law doesnt apply tomorrow.. because there was NO RAIN just pure angry sun all weekend.
and if it rains tomorrow.. It means the guy wont be able to install the AC units

In some positive news.. I tried the new domino's pizza website (for Mexico).
they finally got it to level up with their american counterparts.. offering online ordering to the closest store, create your own pizza and tons of "offers and promotions" easily available and usable with mere clicks.

Also, there was a huge quality in the quality of the food there. 2 years ago (last time I tried dominos in my local town) the pizza was atrocious. What we tried today was very decent, tasted really good and I loved the new condiment on the crust (not filled just powdered with spices + parmesan cheese).

Plus the fact that it came 10 minutes late (When we called to see why they were taking too long.. it sounded like they were having a hell of a time with so many people ordering).

So.. free pizza + better quality = happy Cesar. :hungry:

No more calls to the local family owned joint (which is way overexpensive for a tiny pizza) :inlove:

Oy. Hope the A/C units arrive and are installed.

My DD tried the Little Cesar's that just opened by her work. Like it better than the Domino's they also have near them.

Oh yesssss! I remember all a' that fun. Plus, "Pot passers", the "Cement pond" and "Every time that music starts a' playin', someone comes a' knockin' at the door!" :joyfull:
And, I had major crushes on Betty Jo, Bobbie Jo, and Billie Joe.
It was just silly-fun stuff that wasn't insulting at all to us, even though my folks came from rural farm backgrounds. Again, It was all just so silly, that we recognized it as just pure genius and rolled with the fun...! :)

I loved Petticoat Junction. I so wanted to ride that elevator and swim in the Water Tower. I can only imagine how many shopping hours would be shaved off if I did my shopping at Sam Druckers.

Actually my DD name was inspired from Petticoat Junction.

I liked all of these shows too. Lots of laughing. My folks in that era favorite show was Archie Bunker, All in the Family. Folks Being of that generation prior to Civil Rights I think it taught through humor tolerance. I was too young to fully grasp the meaning of the episodes but I did remember the one where the cross dresser was murdered. One of the few episodes that didn't work itself out in a nice neat package of laughter. Every night when I was growing up there were 2 hours of family shows that parents didn't have to worry about their kids watching. Nothing dicey came on until 9pm cdt. Simpler times.

Life was much better before Family Guy.

I'm thinking I should increase my life insurance.

If anything were to ever happen to me, they will need to hire someone to: load and unload the dishwasher, replace the empty toilet paper roll, change the milk bags, and scoop cat litter.

Apparently none of the men in the house know how to do any of these tasks.

Yep, plenty of crab from the Texas coast. I like it most every way, especially soft shell! :hungry:

I tried a soft-shelled crab, many years ago. I was confused as to how to eat it; I couldn't figure out how to get the meat out of the shell, and I ended up leaving the whole thing untouched on the plate. Someone suggested to me that you actually eat the shell? So, I was afraid I'd choke on a piece of shell. Never had one since that time. I must be missing something in translation here; do people really eat the shells? Eek . . .

Save your money for something more fun! I've got an idea: type up "directions" on how to do these tasks (you could include screen shot images as well) and tape them to the various places (like the milk bag one to the refrigerator door, for example). :)

School of Management didn't have any classes on Friday - I'm not sure why - so all classes were offered either Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday (or both). The Wednesday night class just fit my schedule so I lucked out there. I used to do all of my work on Friday when my friends were at class and then just chill out Saturday-Monday. Best semester ever.
My worst was a six week summer session when I had a 7 AM Business Statistics class 4 or 5 days a week. They did some 7 AM classes and some in the evening for the benefit of full-time workers. I forget why I thought I needed to get that course out of the way that summer instead of waiting for a better time slot in the fall.
