I forgot I had the piggy avatar and thought I missed a post - but it was mine. Time for sleep, perhaps??
I've been up since 2:30 in the morning and have only taken a 15 minute nap before being woken up. I probably got 4 hours of sleep last night by the time I actually fell asleep. Then I woke up a couple times and had trouble getting back to sleep. I really don't know how I'm not exhausted on Sunday nights...

Oh, and let's not forget the ULTIMATE: the crossover character episodes! Do you recall how sometimes characters would "visit" and guest star in each other's shows?! Too funny!! :joyfull:

Hooterville was the background setting for both Green Acres and Petticoat Junction. Uncle Joe Carson, Floyd Smoot, Mr. Haney, Betty Jo and Bobbie Jo Bradley, Oliver & Lisa Douglas, and Sam Drucker, etc., crossed over between the shows. Actually, I think there were even a few crossover episodes from Granny of the Beverly Hillbillies, if I'm not mistaken.

Possum Day, I Didn't Raise my Pig to be a Soldier, The Woodchucks, and other "cultural" episodes all contributed to the erosion of my brain! :hilarious: But, I wouldn't change one moment of it! (And, as silly as all these shows were, they're leaps and bounds ahead of the reality show crap that's on tv now!! )

Oh yesssss! I remember all a' that fun. Plus, "Pot passers", the "Cement pond" and "Every time that music starts a' playin', someone comes a' knockin' at the door!" :joyfull:
And, I had major crushes on Betty Jo, Bobbie Jo, and Billie Joe.
It was just silly-fun stuff that wasn't insulting at all to us, even though my folks came from rural farm backgrounds. Again, It was all just so silly, that we recognized it as just pure genius and rolled with the fun...! :)

I really need to try kona!
never had a proper crab cake :9

You need to have 'proper' crab cake 'cause most of the stuff out there is not. Kona does it well, they use lump crab meat from blue crabs. Many places use miscellaneous shreds of crab mix it with too much cake and it is disgusting.
Lump comes from the body of the crab, there is very little in a blue crab but it is sweet, tender and delicious. :hungry:

I honestly wish our crab population was high enough to have that problem. Thanks in part to this rough winter and also in part to Virginia for not making it illegal to take female crabs that have the sponges on them, our crab population is down. By a lot. In fact, a lot of crabs have been coming from southern states like Louisiana, Texas, and the Carolinas

Yep, plenty of crab from the Texas coast. I like it most every way, especially soft shell! :hungry:

Youth. I've seen my DS stay out all night and go to work in the morning. Come home NAP a couple hours and go out again that night. Thinking these days have started to dwindle, he is now well into his 20's

Post musings of the day and after feeling the heat of having no AC unit in my room (where my big work machine is)

I just never imagined how much heat my computer generates.. I just exit my room and BANG! a wall of cold air blocking the HOT AIR inside my room.. even with the fans at max.

I think my room is nearly 38C (at night)
while the room with the AC is at 28C or less lol :in pain:

hopefully the nightmare will end tomorrow.. they are installing the units on my room tomorrow.

I really hope Murphy's law doesnt apply tomorrow.. because there was NO RAIN just pure angry sun all weekend.
and if it rains tomorrow.. It means the guy wont be able to install the AC units

In some positive news.. I tried the new domino's pizza website (for Mexico).
they finally got it to level up with their american counterparts.. offering online ordering to the closest store, create your own pizza and tons of "offers and promotions" easily available and usable with mere clicks.

Also, there was a huge quality in the quality of the food there. 2 years ago (last time I tried dominos in my local town) the pizza was atrocious. What we tried today was very decent, tasted really good and I loved the new condiment on the crust (not filled just powdered with spices + parmesan cheese).

Plus the fact that it came 10 minutes late (When we called to see why they were taking too long.. it sounded like they were having a hell of a time with so many people ordering).

So.. free pizza + better quality = happy Cesar. :hungry:

No more calls to the local family owned joint (which is way overexpensive for a tiny pizza) :inlove:

School of Management didn't have any classes on Friday - I'm not sure why - so all classes were offered either Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday (or both). The Wednesday night class just fit my schedule so I lucked out there. I used to do all of my work on Friday when my friends were at class and then just chill out Saturday-Monday. Best semester ever.

Yeah, my DS didn't have classes on Friday after his Freshman year. Both of my kids didn't have Friday or Monday classes their last semester.
