Very sad about those that didn't make it.
But, WOW Cesar. Very inspiring! So very glad you're still with us!!! :)
My family and I surely am glad to be still alive.

The most scary moment is (they didnt tell me back then, I was still young).
When they(doctors and my parents) HAD to gamble... They were going to quit the radiation therapy and reduce the chemo.. because It was literally disintegrating my intestines.

Yes, I have heard very many times how harsh those treatments are.
Again, so very glad you punched it in the face! ;) :)

also in the bollocks.. (that felt good)!
but I can proudly scream loudly "HAH, TAKE THAT CANCER!" as I chunk some delicious BBQ, spicy wings and travel out of country!

btw, funny fact.
Before I got my implant.. my hearing capacity was nearly 20% on my left and 10% on my right. (out of 100%, I was in the "very profound loss" type)
With a very low capacity to understand ( I could hear noises but all garbled even with powerful hearing aids)
Of course, that didn't stop me from visiting Houston and Pittsburgh BY MYSELF.
I used nearly 3-4 notepads per trip full of writing, so I could communicate with the store owners, restaurant waiters and other employees of the places I visited.

thankfully, most people were patient enough to write everything back in the same notepad.

Reading your post was an inspiration to me. Your fortitude is nothing short of amazing. Even though you had medical issues, it didn't stop you from living your life to the fullest. Your comments really put what is important in life, in perspective.

As other Sagateers have commented, we are so relieved that you overcame your health issues. You contribute a lot to the discussions on these forums, and we're glad you're here!

I always know when I am caught up from the night before when I get to @MinnieM123's posts!

Ha ha ha . . . that's funny! It is fun starting off the morning discussion (although in my case, my post(s) are usually just a rehash of discussions from the night before).

What's most important is that that Sagateer thread is the 24-hour, news, weather and entertainment source. We all do our part contributing to it's greatness and mass appeal . . . :hilarious:

Chow! Off to work I go.
