Raises hand: "Sister, sister, may I . . . ?" All I really recall from 8 years of parochial school was asking permission to do anything at all. I suppose there is a correlation between military training and parochial schools. We always walked in lines in the hallways, and supplies inside our desks had to be arranged exactly the same for each child. We had to be quiet unless given permission to speak. And those uniforms! I hated them—uggo, old, frumpy, church-lady styles, with ugly tie shoes, and knee socks to match.

In the 4th grade, old Sister Saint Angela used to start the day by telling us how difficult it was to be elderly—and how depressing it was in the autumn, to watch the leaves fall and die from the trees—because that reminded old people that they were going to die, too. o_O (That's almost a verbatim quote; I still remember it now . . .)

I know my parents meant well to send us there, but I really don't think they had a clue . . .

Ohhhhhh.....so this is a combo comparison cause we are WiFi only.
I recommend you just use a normal computer for the test :>

My home internet speed:
3603334510.png

that looks way better.
By the way, You have the TV package with your FIOS right?
that could explain the higher upload than download.
your line seems to be of 30Mbps up and down, but it uses a small chunk for TV.

Yes, our TV and phone is included with our FIOS package. They advertise their upload speeds as up to 30 mb/s, so obviously their ads are correct.

At work, the upload speed was .56 mb/s. After being used to our home Wifi, no wonder I always think work is slow.

Oh, I'd love 50! Never been a fan of summer; I despise hot weather. Too bad we can't trade weather!

Speaking of weather, we had some huge rainstorms last night, with intense lightening; it was freaky. My dog hates storms, and cowered in the corner next to the bed. Of course, he decides to wake up around 3:30 a.m., and proceeds to body slam the side of the bed to wake me up. Oh thank you, dog of mine, for waking me up on a holiday morning at an ungodly hour. I eventually got up, made coffee, and he goes right back to sleep—he's snoring now . . . and yet, I'm still awake, but tired . . .

You know, something I find very interesting of some people online.
Reading your post kinda reminded me of it.

Some people just complain of the current weather ALWAYS.
In summer, they claim its too hot and they demand snow.
in winter.. they say its too cold with too much snow, and they claim "cant wait for summer"

I had a cousin that was super brainy. He was two years older then I so I attended after he did. All I ever heard was.. "your cousin is so smart, you should try harder to be like him." Well, he died about 5 years ago of alcohol related problems. Smart... not so much, I'm thinking. Glad that I just stayed who I was. I was ornery even back in early school day. Somethings never change.:)
maybe he was so smart he understood the whole BS of the current world system and felt a shock of depression.
Ok so iwasnt as far behind as I thought I was. Apparently I can't count on my days off.

See above :) I used a bunch of nails, a handful of garden stakes, and rope that comes on a roll of 250 ft...in hot pink because that's how I roll. I saw this on Pinterest and it worked rather well...but I did have to do more securing than mentioned on Pinterest. I also ran rope ties from stakes to the deck, just in case. But it works and was rather inexpensive.

My cat did not love it and refused to talk to me for days afterwards. I have pictures somewhere...

I would love to have that as a chicken coop! It's so cute!
your cat talks to you?

Yesterday when I was leaving the cat told me she didn't like that I was leaving and also that her food bowl was empty. Then I came home after the ballgame and she complained that I'd been gone all day and would now like to cuddle to make up for it. Then this morning at 6 am she told me she would like to be let out of my room to go get her food and use her litter box. And then at 7 am, she told me she wanted to be let in again.

My cat tells me an awful lot for someone who only knows how to say "meow".
