I had Sister James in 1st grade, she like to come up behind kids and smack them upside the back of the skull with her pointer stick. She always walked the rows while we were working silently with her pointer stick in hand.
My memories mostly involve rulers across the knuckles and ear pulling. I do recall one incident where I had my book propped up in front of me. I was just quietly reading, but apparently she couldn't see my face and thought I was sleeping. She came up behind me and hit the book directly into my face. Besides being startled half to death, it hurt and I got a paper cut very near my eyeball.

For the sake of my parents, my kids were baptized, but, you can bet big money that they NEVER went to a catholic school.

Four words: Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake.

Did that! Delicious!!

Glad to hear y'all are havin' a blast! :)

We've flown in twice on the night of the 4th, but, have never actually been in The Parks on the 4th.
We need to fix that someday, soon...! :)

The 4th was most excellent. Very crowded, but worth it.

This will probably go against everyones grain, but just reading that post has completely satisfied my desires to witness any Fireworks for the next 5 years. I am not a fan of fireworks and it isn't just my old age. I haven't liked them much practically since birth. I'll watch them, just to say that I saw them, but, it provides no extra joy to my otherwise drab life.

Sorry to hear that. Last night's 4th show at MK was amazing. Both DW and I had tears in our eyes at the end.

When I did Epcot on the 4th it was crazy crowded at night and worth every minute. It was an amazing display.

It was. We got our seats on the second floor of the train station (and yes, we got chairs) at about 4:30pm for the 9pm fireworks display. Great time talking to folks up there and a few times one or two of us would take a quick trip away to do something, and some beautiful pictures are coming soon on my trip report. We were quite proud of ourselves - then we talked to Robert (bartender at Gurgling Suitcase at OKW) and his wife scored them seats right at the Walt and Mickey statue in the hub...at 2pm! She waited 7 hours!!!

Yikes!!!

Sounds like you're having a blast - can't wait to see more pictures!

Mine never went to Catholic Schools either. My DH went all the way through Catholic Schools in Chicago. He has far worse stories to tell then I ever did. He is the baby of the family and his middle brother was the devil. He never stood a chance sharing the same last name.

I had a cousin that was super brainy. He was two years older then I so I attended after he did. All I ever heard was.. "your cousin is so smart, you should try harder to be like him." Well, he died about 5 years ago of alcohol related problems. Smart... not so much, I'm thinking. Glad that I just stayed who I was. I was ornery even back in early school day. Somethings never change.:)

Ok so iwasnt as far behind as I thought I was. Apparently I can't count on my days off.

Picture? I have 2 bionic ones and 5 meh. My cucumbers look strange

See above :) I used a bunch of nails, a handful of garden stakes, and rope that comes on a roll of 250 ft...in hot pink because that's how I roll. I saw this on Pinterest and it worked rather well...but I did have to do more securing than mentioned on Pinterest. I also ran rope ties from stakes to the deck, just in case. But it works and was rather inexpensive.

The funniest part of that - "Cats love it".

Yeah, right. Pretty sure it ranks right up there with having their temp taken, or being given a bath.

My cat did not love it and refused to talk to me for days afterwards. I have pictures somewhere...

Today's wake-up picture

(yeah I slept in today!)

I would love to have that as a chicken coop! It's so cute!
