Well, here's some fun fodder...there was just a police shootout in the neighborhood behind my apartment.

Time...to...move...
*facepalms* It's terrible. You can't escape it. I live in a fairly well-to-do area (seriously, nothing happens here) and there STILL used to be drug dealing next door. Of course I should have told my parents when I found out, but I didn't to protect someone. Should have; turned out my source was right. There were also a few robberies recently, so we used to leave the garage door open when we were home. Can't do that anymore.

This will sound odd, but the neighborhood has gone to the dumpsters since the "anti-illegal" crackdown craze started in my state a few years ago and scared off a huge percentage of hard working people...

I, frankly, would rather live next to an "illegal" (normally they were not, when I moved in, but they probably had family living with them who was) than a genuine 100% welfare american (which is who comprises most of my neighbors now)...

Section 8...once you go there, you never go back.

I'm going to stop the discussion here, before it goes way off track...

My town is so slow when it comes to crime. Not saying that's a bad thing, obviously it's a great thing. Yes there are things stolen here and there, but no major crimes. Despite what people say, it's a really a great place to live.

Meh, I live in suburban Baltimore. What can I say? It's pretty moderate as far as crime goes, but there's always something going on in one area of the county or down in the city.

As you're driving into the city, you drive past a jail with a large sign that says, "Drop the gun or pick a room." Very reassuring.

Baltimore is also a lot bigger than my 11,000 person city.

I'm going to bed everyone, I have a pretty bad headache for some reason.

Ah, illegal immigration. Yeah, not a topic we should broach here. But there are a lot of immigrants here, and most of them are from Asia.

Well, pretty soon you'll be in WDW or in a boat in the middle of the ocean. So much safer.

Very true, very true. I think 11,000 is about the size of three neighborhoods here.

I know the feeling; I had a pretty bad migraine Friday on (which was why I was only here sporadically). Probably fatigue or weather. Night.

I remember the days of being a college student... Nowadays the kids are pestering us for breakfast at 6:30 and want lunch around 11.
I was never an early riser. When I was younger 8 am was the norm. I usually got my own dry cereal until my mom got up at 9 or 10. Now I don't go to bed until midnight or 1 am and then sleep until whenever.
