I like this one.

I work in an office with Colombians, Brazilians, Mexicans, and Peruvians. World Cup is LOADS of fun (especially since I'm also a fan)...

Though, they did slog our T-1 down at the old office, cause pretty much everyone was streaming games live during working hours!

Our bandwidth is better now (100 megs), so it should handle everything fine!

The owner complained about it, but come Master's time earlier that year, he slogged the network by streaming it in HD live as well!

You've never read or seen Agatha Christie stories?

Soccer games can get pretty intense in other countries. I've heard horror stories about Mexico, not sure if Brazil is the same. Wouldn't want your daughter to be in danger. Or you.

I've also heard the stories, and in fact, with the state of riots, etc, in Rio, there are rumors that it will lose the Cup.

Not sure what would happen then (though, I doubt at this late stage they'd really move it)...

That being said, I have friends there, and here (who are from there) whom I would reach out to.

We'd stick with afternoon games...

But, yeah, I feel your concern...especially with how seriously the sport is taken in S. America.

Still, it would be a fun way to see Rio!

Actually, I think you, of all people, would enjoy Agatha Christie.

I also think you would enjoy Lilian Jackson Braun, who wrote "The Cat Who" mystery series.

I pulled out one of The Cat Who books in middle school. Couldn't get into it. My mother said she couldn't either (and she reads more books than anyone I know). Surprising for us both. Agatha Christie I might enjoy though. I used to read more novels, but more recently I've been interested in the news and nonfiction stuff.

Not a fan of mustaches or Siamese, eh?

Christie is worth a shot...they are well crafted tales. The more recent TV series doesn't do it justice, but there is an older BBC series that does well with them...

On the contrary...Siamese are very cool cats

I'll give her a shot once I'm done my Nicholas Sparks novel:p

I remember an Agatha Christie movie for "The Lady Vanishes" that freaked me out because the lady looked like my grandma. That's the extent of my Christie knowledge.

Congratulations to the first ballot Hall of Famers! Now you can add "HOF" to your signatures (provided the new rules allow for it!!)

I will pass, though I am proudly a Sageteer.

I already backed up my signature and links (not that I don't have them elsewhere, but I like my sig!)...
