We had a friend was afraid of big dogs, but coming over to my house when I had get togethers and interacting my dog got her to be less apprehensive.I believe I've mentioned my fear of bigger dogs...small dogs are fine

I'm fine with certain big dogs, but if I see a big dog I don't know, I back up five feet.We had a friend was afraid of big dogs, but coming over to my house when I had get togethers and interacting my dog got her to be less apprehensive.

My 1st dog was a Golden and she was a total sweetheart. My current pooch is a Border/lab mix and she seems to have inherited the lab demeanor mostly. She still has the bossiness of the border collie, but she has never been aggressive to any people or dogs.We made sure we did our research before we ever brought dogs into the house when we started a family.
Goldens and Labs were number 1 and 2 on the kid-friendly list (our first 2 dogs) and still are. We never had one single incident where we had doubts, and the dogs have always been very protective of the kiddos.![]()
