We had a friend was afraid of big dogs, but coming over to my house when I had get togethers and interacting my dog got her to be less apprehensive.

We made sure we did our research before we ever brought dogs into the house when we started a family.
Goldens and Labs were number 1 and 2 on the kid-friendly list (our first 2 dogs) and still are. We never had one single incident where we had doubts, and the dogs have always been very protective of the kiddos. :)

My 1st dog was a Golden and she was a total sweetheart. My current pooch is a Border/lab mix and she seems to have inherited the lab demeanor mostly. She still has the bossiness of the border collie, but she has never been aggressive to any people or dogs.

Party went well, had way too much food. Party ended at 3, but the last guests were out at around 4:30ish, but we told her she could come at 3 since she didn't get off work until then. Technically there are still some guests here, but they're my mom's old friends, so yeah. Saw lots of my old teachers, talked to a couple of them shortly, but I mainly spent time with family, cause ya know... hanging out with old teachers would be awkward.
