It's completely reasonable to turn the tv up louder so I can hear my movie from like, every room in the house, right? I mean, I should be doing stuff like putting away laundry and/or making dinner...

I always get brain freeze with ice cream. I need to hold my temples for a little while until the pain subsides. The smoothies from Fins though never bother me when I chug them.Did you get a brain freeze? I got esophageal freeze. Had to thump my chest a few times because for some reason that makes the cold go away!

I hope your sons do something nice for you in the next few days, to make up for their lack of attention on Mother's Day. Sometimes, family members can be dense; they don't mean any harm or disrespect at the time. Yet, I just wish someone (perhaps another family member or a friend) would drop a hint to the boys, to remind them that simple gestures of kindness (especially on Mother's Day) can go a very long way.
This one was normal. I've gotten a couple of the other ones, though...

Breaking news bulletin: Over the weekend, I had some unexpected, financial pixie dust fly in my direction. Out of the blue, my MIL told me that she was going to pay for a Disney vacation for me!!! I was absolutely stunned. She knew our bills had increased this past year (yet, no different than everyone else I know ...).
I had not planned to go away to WDW until next year, and now I'm going this Friday for 4 nights/5 days. I'm psyched! (DH doesn't go, he's not a fan of WDW. That's o.k. though, because WDW is one place I don't mind going solo at all—done it a number of times over the years. It's always fun!

Oh, that doesn't sound good. Stay where you are (I've heard the basement is probably a good spot), and I hope all will be o.k.
