We want to be emotional!
And maintenance be darned. I. Want. My. Waterfall.
All you have to do is go ride the world-famous Jungle Cruise. Not only do you get to see Inspiration falls (which inspire you to go...deeper and deeper into the jungle) but you also get to see...THE BACKSIDE OF WATER (yes it looks very much like the front side...)

Last time I actually posted something here was Feb 24th. It has gained about 600 pages from then, and Im not going back to see what I missed. Since my school golf started up, I haven't been able to get on a lot, its too bad. Ok so who wants to recap a solid 600 pages for me?
I was supposed to reserve a tee time for tomorrow and your mention of golf club just reminded me :banghead:

Speaking of WDW, today in training my boss was talking about a trip to WDW that the company will give anyone will get who meets certain requirements (not sure if I would be able to get the requirements down, but anyway...) over New Years this year. I was sitting there as he was trying to sell us on the trip, trying not to snicker as he told us "The weather will be in the 70s!" (yeah, maybe, or it could be in the 40s. Or the 80s.) And "Boardwalk is the best resort on property because you can walk to Epcot!" (he failed to mention DHS. And you can also walk to Epcot from BC/YC and to MK from Contemporary.) I hope he didn't see the look on my face, though he did point out my Disney purse.

When we grow up, Hubby and I want to move to Florida. I would love to be a CM.
Heck, I'd be happy to make Anchors Aweigh sandwiches all day at CHH, if it meant working in the World.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Disney very much, and Walt is one of my all-time heroes. But having worked for TWDC for over 4+ years (1+ of which in a management position), it's not what's it's cracked up to be. Again, I still may want to be employed by them again, but, not if the Company continues on it's current path. I had WAY more than my share of Magical moments there, especially when it came to making a child's day, many of whom never had the chance, and maybe never will, to go visit any Disney Park. That's what really made it for me. Most everything else about that business was outright BS. I was very well-respected for being able to keep my cool for some of the crap that went on backstage and still being able to come onstage like nothing had ever happened. Never even had an acting class in my life, but, every time I went onstage, I was spot-on my game.
Corny as it sounds, as as much as I was disheartened many times, I felt I owed it to Walt.

On our past trip, two CMs told us how much it sucks to work there. One was working at the POR boat to DTD, saying how he is retired and the pay is crap. The second was an off-duty CM who was working a second job at a pizza joint off-property. She also said the pay sucks and that the company gives all priorities to the DCPers since they are required to work so many hours a week, meaning it takes away from her opportunity to work. She also said Disney cut her hours so they wouldn't have to give her benefits as a full-time employee, even though she's working more than enough to be a full-time employee. The reason she got the pizza job was because she needed benefits.

Doesn't sound that happy working there unless you are on the DCP.

Well the main thing is the Brewers' success, but since you're from Wisconsin and sporting part of the Brewers' logo, I think you already know that.

Also, my friend says he's taking me and my other friend out to golf this summer. I've never been golfing other than mini-golf, and the other friend has only been real golfing once when he was 8. It should be an interesting sight to see... also, my cousin's cousin won State for golf last year I'm pretty sure. Don't know how State Golf works, if it's by divisions like football, etc, or what.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

I wouldn't work there for the money. I want to soak up the atmosphere. 10 hours/week would be fine.

The DCP ship sailed for me about 25 years ago.
