Now that's what I call a really tasty luncheon for an office! You guys eat well at work. It cracked me up that you supposedly snuck some food. I say supposedly, because I know that was not your real intention. Rather, you discreetly offered to "taste test" the food—just to make sure it was up to the high standards for the rest of the office colleagues, of course. That's not stealing at all.

Yes, we do eat well at the office. :) Sometimes, insanely well. You should see the holidays around here.
Not to mention things like baby showers, birthdays, and the like...! :)
Anyway, they try to schedule one luncheon and one site visit per week, but sometimes we go a week or two without either/or. The luncheons involve new product and/or updates on things like (commercial and residential) zinc siding, elevators, window systems, AV/home theaters, home control systems, etc. The site visits are to sites where we have projects in various stages of development/construction. Food is provided for both. We are all allowed to attend either, as we see fit, based on our particular positions in the firm. And, more importantly, whether we attend or not, we are allowed to chow down...! :D :hungry: :)
Some are AIA accredited, some are not. I never went to college, and the grandfathering of those who didn't in Texas has long passed, so the accreditation thing isn't in play for me. I have every interest in this firm, as I always have, so I choose wisely, based on what I know I need for my particular design position, to stay on the top of my game. Plus, they pay me like I went to college (yes, I've done the research for folks with my level of experience that have a college education). :)
It all works really well. We have serious stuff to do, but, it's also a pretty fun work environment. We have a great group of folks from all walks of life of all different ages that get along well and that just want to produce great product for our clients. I'm not gonna' complain. ;) :)

BTW, this is what we had today (although, the menu varies)... :hungry:
