Probably the same thing that makes my kids decide to bother each other for no reason.

I actually stopped by to see if unkadug is OK - but I see that he posted this morning, so I guess he's OK.

Yes, we survived...the storms along the beach stopped the dire predictions the weathermen had predicted for this area. The beach area got about 15 inches of rain which acted as a wall to stop tornadoes from impacting this area.

I didn't find this out until about two hours ago at work....thanks to all who voted!

BTW that picture is about 4 blocks from my job. That's Court Square fountain and you can see the Capitol building in the background up Dexter Avenue.

I just noticed the blurred car lights, but the carriage is in perfect focus. (It doesn't go THAT slow!)

The roads east of the canal get like this during severe rain/high tide or high tide/full moon/recent amount of high rain.

This is from post-Sandy (hence the boats everywhere), but I've seen the water like this around the bridge prior to Sandy.

It was more like the 1st picture when I grabbed something from the car before at least.

Did I tell you guys I have a final on Tue, Wed, Thur, and Fri of finals week? If I didn't, I thought about it at least, so that counts for something. Anyway, my Wednesday one is now going to be taking place on the final day of class, and my Thursday one was cancelled. The Thursday one was dumb anyway; we were checking our binders and making a color wheel with cookies (art class). Now if only my Friday one at 8am would get cancelled. All we are doing is watching a movie and filling in questions. She said it's about the ice age (this is geography class), so I hope it's actually the movie Ice Age. I have a feeling it's not...

Currently chowin' down on BBQ (brisket, sausage, turkey, coleslaw, beans, potato salad ) that I stole from an office luncheon that I'm not currently attending...

Now that's what I call a really tasty luncheon for an office! You guys eat well at work. It cracked me up that you supposedly snuck some food. I say supposedly, because I know that was not your real intention. Rather, you discreetly offered to "taste test" the food—just to make sure it was up to the high standards for the rest of the office colleagues, of course. That's not stealing at all.
