When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I can barely tolerate to watch THEM eat those creatures. I meant food.
I cannot watch these challenges at all!

Season 3 (?) in Africa, when they had to drink the Masai staple, cow's blood and milk, I literally started heaving.
I gagged and retched so hard, that tears ran down my face.

Happily, my "vomit-free since 96" streak remained intact. Barely.

Speaking of these challenges, they have them every season near the end don't they? If they have one this year, I think Tony will take it.

The former President of Kenya said "yes" to what? I'm getting more and more confused.
Different spelling.

I don't think he turned down too many bribes either.
In East Africa, bribes are referred to as "chai money", and are distributed at every point up and down the line.

(I actually work with a ministry that ships 20' and 40' containers of food to Tanzania regularly. We put all the "good stuff" right at the doors - cookies, hard candy, jelly beans etc., while the beans, lentils, powdered eggs and powdered milk are buried dead centre.
The first time I helped pack a container 20 years ago, I was appalled that we were wasting precious space with junk food. I was soon disabused of this notion.)

Our church does shoe boxes but they go to the children in our local area that wouldn't be getting a present under the tree.
Children in need are children in need - no matter where they live.

For those who send the boxes overseas, I know that one of the most prized gifts ever is, believe it or not, a toothbrush. I always throw a dozen or so in the boxes we do. The are cheap and don't take up too much room, but are highly treasured.
