Assuming I have remembered the date correctly, it is @StarWarsGirl95's 19th birthday today.

Happy Birthday. Hope you have a great day and a blessed year.
Thanks Jen. Yes you got the date right. I shall celebrate by...studying.:banghead: But hey, the Star Wars cast list came out, and that is excellent birthday news.

See you all after the craziness is over...

Oh my, yuk.

It's 80 and sunny here. And, any chance of rain (and, I mean the very slightest of chances) has now been pushed back in the forecast another day to 5/8.
Oh carp. Here we go again...another long, scorchin', dry summer. Just what we needed... :bored:
I love the heat. Don't even mind the humidity - which I assume you don't have.

I may change my mind once they start, but for now, I wouldn't mind the occasional hot flash. I am so sick of being bundled up, huddled under a blanket 9 months/year.

And then, once it gets hot here, Hubby and the boys keep lowering the AC temp.
It's not uncommon to see me in the summer dressed in t-shirt and capris for outside, but wearing a winter weight robe on top while in the house.

Yeah, but it's a Canadian arm and leg - currently worth 90% of an American arm and leg - so it's still a good deal.
Are you calling us fat?

The only thing keeping me from living in Florida (Well besides the well documented crazy that keeps giving Nancy Grace material) is the humidity. It is choking at times. My warm weather dream move location has a dry heat.

And I blast my a/c at night in the summer just so I can bury myself under layers of blankets. Drives others crazy. Also it's really hard to do since I only have the window unit.

The worst part of humidity is when you're in a crowded building without air conditioning. I'm looking at you old high school! They had air conditioning units, but they would not turn them on until it hit 80 degrees, which was usually midway through the school day so it was too late to cool the building down. Sometimes they wouldn't turn on the air for the outer rooms, and they'd have them open windows instead. But the office was always cool.

Kinda the same for winter. The heat would go on, but the tech ed class room was literally in the lower 40s every day. It was freezing in there. Luckily we went across the hall to the computer lab every day, but that was ridiculous.

In celebration of being an adult and doing adult things like a boss, I'm enjoying a sensible snack of apple juice through a straw and a small container of gummi bears.

And no, they're not these ones: http://www.amazon.com/Haribo-Gummi-...er=2&showViewpoints=0&sortBy=byRankDescending

But they are locally made and delicious. The lime green ones taste like maryjane, which I of course would not know what that tastes like. :cautious:

Well, if it tastes anything like it smells - no thank you!

As the mother of a teenage pot-head, I am SO SICK of that nasty odour!

Have you ever thought that they might not be gummi bears? :cyclops:
