It's beautiful out today, and I have three assignments to do before my English class. And the bright side, I got an 86 on my psych test despite missing a day of notes. I only had one wrong answer in the first 38 questions. From there I had 6 wrong in the last 12. Most of that section of the test was covered in the day of notes I missed to go on the field trip.

Usually, I think the postal service does a decent job of delivering mail.

Today, I went to the post office to mail my brother's birthday card. (His happy birthday is Monday.) Because the card was a bit larger than most cards, and I had also put a Mobil gas gift card inside, I decided to put it all in a slightly larger-sized, flat envelope. I told the postal clerk to please send it First Class. He said sure, and I paid the postage.

Then he says, "That will be 5-7 days delivery." What??!! I'm at a large city post office on my lunch break at noon, on a Thursday, and he's telling me that a simple, first class envelope will take 5-7 business days from Boston to the middle of North Carolina??!! Are you kidding me??!! I could understand if I sent it 3rd class or whatever, but heck.

I think the old Pony Express could have done a better delivery time than this!! :banghead:

I used to be able to mail a birthday card to my little cousin the day before his bday and it would arrive on time.

This year, it took THREE WEEKS. He lives 30 minutes from me. I could have walked it there faster.
