He grew up in Wisconsin as a Packers fan so I'm okay with him.

I do not dislike him. I just sometimes can't believe the disproportionate amount of bad luck that he sometimes seems to be surrounded by on the field. And yes, It is a TEAM sport, but, in football the QB is pretty much charged with being the team leader. Again, not me choppin' him up. I couldn't have done that job on my best day (OK, maybe for a play or two ;)) in the prime of my youth. I was definitely into sports, but, a team-leading QB I was not. :)

He takes a lot more crap than he deserves just because he plays for the Cowboys. Put him on the Jaguars and he is the savior of a franchise!

I could never learn an entire playbook. I'd pull out a play from Madden and hope it works. :p

As to that last part, I couldn't even pull out a play from Madden...! :hilarious:
And yes, having been a Cowboy fan (although, not nearly as hardcore as most) from birth, I completely understand. Exceedingly, unrealistic, VERY HIGH, unrealistic (did I mention unrealistic...? o_O ;)) expectations. :)

1) Happy 8,000th like!

2) Just use this play. There tends to be one open receiver on every play. I'm sure it's the same in real life!

My Facebook is all messed up lately. No matter how many times I click "most recent" on my news feed, it gives me a mixture of most recent and top stories. When I hit top stories it just gives me top stories. If I wanted top stories I wouldn't be clicking "most recent". Get your stuff together Facebook!

Your expectations are higher than mine. I'm just happy every day that passes without my FB account being hacked.

We've started plants from seed here, but indoors. When my kids wer little that was always our First Day of Spring project - planting seeds for the garden. Now we just go to Rita's for a free icee and buy the plants half grown.

What are you guys planning on planting?
anything in particular?
(PS, I heard there are NO pizza plants)

My parents lived with us for 2 summers - 03 and 04.

My dad and I planted two kinds of tomatoes (yuck!), English cucumbers and pickling cucumbers, and for some reason, peppers.

The tomatoes turned out fine (if you're into that kind of thing), we were drowning in cucumbers, and the peppers were a bust. Except for some rhubarb, which comes back year after year (no matter how many times Hubby has moved over it), we haven't planted anything since.

Truth be told, I haven't been in my backyard in 4 years, except to step on the deck once or twice to get in the hot tub. I will be off this summer (fingers crossed) and allergies or no, I'm gong to make use of the yard.

If I have to stay put for another year or two, until the boys are away at school and I have a little extra $$, then I might as well start enjoying what I do have, instead of about what I want.
Whats wrong with tomatoes? You can make a lot of stuff with these.
like PASTA! or SALADS!

OK - you obviously CAN start tomatoes from seeds but it takes a lot of effort and it doesn't produce a superior fruit.
Is that due of the climate there in the US? or the soil?
or due of how delicate the seeds are?
