So fun day today. In class, student says, "I'm getting an emergency alert of a shooter on campus." So school got locked down and the police and SWOT teams evacuated the building I was in. Those who had a car were asked to evacuate, those who lived there were sent to a sheltered area. Turns out all of this was caused by two students who decided hunting in the nearby woods was a wonderful idea. Great, get the campus locked down and make 4,000+ people scared out of their wits.

So that was my day...

Just be glad that it was a false alarm.

Those are nice, but I prefer my spring decorations better.

True. I've had to be on the phone all evening. My parents were at opening day, so I ended up calling my aunt because I was so scared, and then I just ended up making a bunch of phone calls to let people know I was okay and posting on Facebook before we knew exactly what happened. Fun times...fun times.

Thank you! :) We are on a half an acre. As you go further East on Long Island the property sizes generally increase. The closer you are to the city the smaller the parcels (generally) are (and the higher the taxes - for less property - for the convenience of being closer to Manhattan!) When we were house hunting hubby wanted a huge yard. After mowing, fertilizing, etc. for over 10 years now he is pretty much over it! Ironically, even with all that space, when my dog gets running he usually runs full speed into a tree. :bored:

Zooming in on your last sentence, my dog also runs into people, places and things. You see, they all do. Dogs think they're Houdini and believe they can magically pass through solid objects. What cracks me up is that once they slam into something, it doesn't even faze them; they just continue galloping on—to where or why . . . we'll never know.

I love when I check my "likes you've received" thing and it's a solid wall of 'likes' from @Zweiland and @MinnieM123 and @NYwdwfan

It's because you've got some good material! Lots of funny (and sometimes informative as well) posts. I like reading everything from people on the Saget thread—so many laugh-out-loud moments from the whole bunch of you! :joyfull:
