Flood warnings out for one of our rivers - we're far enough away from it though. The street looked like a river for a while there, then the rain let up for a while. It's raining hard again now.

Oh my. All that snow, now all the rain. Send some this way, please. We're still in a drought.
Again, stay safe!

From TWC it sounds like all of R.I. is flooding.
TWC has a way of making things sound a lot worse then they truly are. I can remember one year before we left Vermont for our February trip to Florida (and WDW therein) watched TWC and it had been a rainy week or so. They made it sound like 90% of Florida was under water. They reported snakes coming out because their in ground living areas were all flooded. Snakes were being reported everywhere.

I had all I could do to convince my wife that we should go. We got there, no flooding, no past flooding, no snakes everywhere. Nothing. Apparently they had footage of an area where the storm drains had gotten plugged or something and some localized flooding had occurred. They had the residents building arks.

Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR

It hit 58 today and maybe 62 tomorrow. Now that is what spring in the Midwest is suppose to be. Still Chilly but we're suppose to shed the Parkas, hats, mitten and scarves already. It should be Northface weather.

Back to the 40's by Wednesday.

Not to advertise too much, but we haven't locked our doors in the 13 years since we have lived in our current house. There has not been any crime in our neighborhood in that time, except a couple teen boys trying to shoot peoples pets with BB guns. Not gated or high income, just country. When I used to live in North Baltimore, I had two deadbolts on each door that were always locked. After I moved out here, the neighborhood I was in degenerated further to now be a major drug trafficking area. So glad to be where we are now!

Yeah, we don't get much of anything in our little Hamlet either. We refer to it as Mayberry and the same with our local Sheriff and deputies, generational folk here. Once 3 boys dropped a TV over an embackment (no threat/harm to anyone and they were caught. Everyone knows everyone here, the sheriff charged the 3 with MOB ACTION! Kids and sheriff a bit bored around these parts. Judge threw it out of court within minutes.

I was born in Chicago and my relatives remained there for many years, we moved when I was very young.
Now that is where you can charge some kids with real MOB ACTION, their police likely wouldn't even respond to a kid dropping a discarded TV.
