The lurkers. They read the thraed, but don't contribute. They know how much snow we all have, our medical issues, our vacation schedules, how often we BM, etc. but they don't contribute.

Show yourselves!!! We know you're out there!!!
And everyone is worried about the "I spy" aspect of the Magic Bands?? One would wonder why!

I couldn't find it either. Only one post that said he had 400,000 page views.
It's somewhere in one of his many topic posts. It is an ongoing thought that goes back at least a year that without him stoking the coals of discussion, WDWmagic would be in trouble. His views are impressive, but they don't keep pace with the participation aspect. This thraed 289,000 views with 34,000 replies. That thread 400,000 views with 5800 replies. Of course, we do have to consider that about half of those replies on this thraed were Push begging for more likes... so take it with a grain of salt I guess. ;):joyfull::p:happy::angelic:

I'm trying to figure out how to repay my student loans faster... so I won't be paying on them for the next 25 years (it literally makes me gag thinking about it).

I'm thinking, if I hunker down and double my payments, that'll help...

Would it be rude to ask my Mom to help me pay them off?

I figure that, if I'm going to pay them as-is for the next 25 years, I'm paying more than $10,000 interest. If I can save at least half that by paying them off sooner, it'll be worth it.

Ugh, I hate this.

You belong to a big club. They almost never seem like a problem when the loans are taken out. One of my daughters paid hers off in 5 years by making double payments plus. It can be done, but, it isn't easy and requires a huge degree of sacrifice to make happen. In her case, sticking with an older car, no trips and a minimum of dining out. Basically a no frills life. In the end she was able to buy a nice house, new cars, make a few trips to WDW with her husband and children (staying on site) and now concentrate on saving for retirement and whatever changes that they decide to make to their home. Oh, yea and putting away for college for the kids. She was really frustrated during those years of paying it off, but, will now tell anyone that it was worth it.

This is pretty much my plan. I'm looking for a PT weekend/evening job to help me repay the loans sooner. Not have a better life, or more vacations, or more 'spend money', but to pay off my loans in half the time.

I keep hearing student loans are the next "bubble" to burst and part of me hopes it happens, the other part of me knows it will, the day after I make my very last payment.

I'm trying to double up my payments so I can pay them off in half the time, but it's just a matter of how I'm able to do that. Of course, getting a higher paying job is certainly easier said than done, but it would really, really help right about now.

The student loans are the only debt hanging over my head (paid off the student credit cards first because the interest rate was MUCH higher and the balances were ...about the same, actually) and I can't STAND that it's there.

One day when I grow up, I want to be able to buy a house, buy a car, and have a family. Until the student loans are taken care of, I can't afford any of the above. Sadly I know way too many people my age doing the exact same thing. The renters market is rough right now, yet there are houses for sale everywhere you look in this city. My age group simply can't afford to buy them at the moment and probably won't for at least 5,10 years.

Its depressing.

So I went for my 6 month cleaning at the dentist this morning and apparently I need a crown in one of my molars (but no root canal). I'm not really sure what this means, and I am SURE AS HECK not googling it - I guess it's pretty safe to assume that (a) it's not going to be a pleasant experience and (b) this is all Meg's fault.
