My husband I an electrician and he texted me this morning that the job site was FREEZING - it's an unfinished building without heat and based on yesterday he figured he was dressed OK. Glad I whipped up a quick pot of matzo ball soup this morning for my daughter who was stayed home sick* from school today - sounds like hubby will be looking for a hot bowl of soup with dinner!

* by sick I mean faking sick.

I would have liked to do the same as your daughter if this week wasn't all about prepping for my meetings in Las Vegas. Then again I can feel that by tomorrow I will not be faking it. My sinuses are starting to clog.

@acishere I finished up the Season 3 on Saturday and was a pretty sad panda that Netflix didn't have more for me to binge watch.

Mine says 5 seasons available. I guess 6 will come out after it is too late to catch up in time for the one that starts in 2 weeks.

I made the mistake of telling the kids that their report cards indicated they have only missed 3 days of school for the week - despite the fact we were away for a week in WDW (2 days were snow days). I think my daughter saw that as an opportunity to relax for a day. I didn't have the energy to argue with her. My mom was around and said she could watch her and her brother is bringing home her homework. No harm, no foul.

Holy cow - I just got an ad for Nature Valley breakfast biscuits on my computer screen and I remembered I packed a pack of them in my pocketbook. SCORE!!

And I clicked on the ad to get Steve some $$. Win-win.

So, I gave DH his present (his birthday was actually a couple of weeks ago, but we were on the road then) and he LOVES it. He can't wait to try it out on the kitchen floor. Yay! Win-Win!

The boss just left my office.
I told her.
The weight is off my shoulders and now on hers.

She doesn't know how to approach him without involving me. I insist that my name not be brought into it. I have a hard enough time dealing with him as is. Apparently this drinking on the job is an old behaviour rearing its ugly head again.

I also discussed the mine field of attitude and emotion I am constantly navigating. She said it would not be the first time she had to let someone go because of being "difficult".

I will sit back now and let her deal with it. Not my problem. As far as the three owners are concerned, only JenniferS works here, as all deals are typed by me, signed by me, presented by me. They haven't even seen G since the Christmas party.

The only good thing about dealing with all the crap and aggravation is that I also get most of the credit. And pardon me for saying, but rightly so.
