We thought it was obvious.
And is why I had to be the one to say it! For I am...

He's helped me before with computer issues, and has been great. I always feel bad when getting his help, though, because he deals with people like me all the time. You know, clueless people who have absolutely no idea what is going on. I'm sure it has to get annoying.

That's gracious of you to acknowledge his technical expertise, on your behalf. Reminds me of something funny that happened recently at work. Although I use the standard Windows office programs, and a few other applications specific to hospitals, I am clueless about computers in general. We have wonderful IT guys at work, and I often ask them lame questions when I can't figure out something on the computer.

One day, I felt bad about interrupting them (again . . ), and I told them they'd probably celebrate the day I finally quit. They immediately said, no, don't quit—people like you give us job security! HA! :hilarious: (Note: I have baked cookies for them before. IT guys are also partial to homemade blueberry muffins in the summer, as well.) I suppose we all have different talents, and as long as people share with one another, that's cool.

I think I'm going to go make some blueberry muffins for breakfast. Thanks for the idea. DW is still asleep and DD is reading in her room. The smell of blueberry muffins before either are up and at 'em will win me quite a few bonus points. Might earn me the chance to sit and watch EPL today. Go Tottenham!

I'll take one!! My parents grow blueberries and every July I make blueberry muffins whenever we don't eat the ones we picked within a few days.

Reboot your machine.

As it loads, but before the "loading windows" icon appears, start pressing F8 repeatedly.

When you see the options for boot, choose "Safe Mode with Networking"

Once in, go to start. In the search box type cmd and press enter.

Navigate to the location of your pictures folder using the following commands.

cd /

And press enter. This will change you to the root directory

If your folder is on your c: (or system) drive, then skip the next step. If it's not, type the letter of the drive the pictures folder resides on followed by : and press enter.

Then type:

attrib -rsh thumbs.db /s

Press enter and let it process. Then type...

del thumbs.db /s

Press enter and let it process.

Restart your computer and let it load normally.

Try again and let me know what happens.
Really? Interesting! I love foreign languages. Is there a Rosetta Stone for that mess. Personally you lost me immediately after "reboot your machine". I will junk any computer that requires any more then pushing the on button.:jawdrop::joyfull:

Boy is it snowing here. Chicago Blackhawks are playing an OUTDOOR game at Chicago Soldier Field (football stadium.) They have to stop play to continue to shovel the ice.
I watched part of that and thought to myself I wouldn't like to be there. Now I look out my own window. :( I will truly do the dance of joy when the snow is gone for good.

Ok folks. So as expected, I woke up to a winter nightmare yet again.

Luckily, I had a good deal of 'spring' yesterday at the Phipps Conservatory. They had their annual Tropical India and Orchids show. I took a crapload of pics. I really wanna share with you, maybe they'll bring a little ray of hope and/or light at the end of this stupid cold, snowy season.

Super vivid :)

I love the delicate buttercream color of these ones:

Ittybitty spots

And every flower has a nametag for easy indentification. I was particularly fond of this bright orange one:

There were tons of buds that hadn't opened yet... these are my favorite to photograph.

Super vivid, again. The edges of the petals were bright yellow!

One of the main garden rooms. People get married here!

These guys were very fragile and looked like wax shavings.

This was the root of a cactus family plant in the desert room. I think it looks like a turtle crossed with a centipede.

Swiss chard

Orchid flower gallery

I should have photographed the nametag of this one, because now I wish I knew. It was this huge bush like plant in the room with fruit producing trees, but it had these beautiful dainty little flowers that smelled so good... like apples and honeysuckle.

The Dr. Suess tree.

I hope you enjoyed a little brightness on an otherwise white snowy day!
