Am I the only one that finds the slot machines rather boring? I mean all you do is press a button over and over again. I'd rather there be some actual game to my gambling. I only really did slots for cheap pregame drinking when in Atlantic City...

For some gamblers, watching the dials spin and hearing the sounds of the machine can be somewhat hypnotic. As long as their money holds out, some believe that if they stay with just one machine, they'll hit the jackpot.

The first time I went to Vegas, I took a free blackjack lesson at the Flamingo. (That was fun.) Later that day, I went to a different casino and sat at a blackjack table that included some experienced players. Guess I didn't know about some of the finer nuances, etc. of the game, and I felt like I was slowing things down for others. It was a bit intimidating, so I left and went to the slot machines where I felt more relaxed. (Only been to Vegas 3 times, but I steer clear of the gaming tables now!);)
