The car thermometer said 44 degrees. It felt amazing out today!! Unfortunately it's supposed to rain/snow/sleet on Thursday. Tomorrow it's upper 30s again.
Yep. I wore shorts to school today and it was 17 in the morning, so a little cold, but when I went outside after school around 3:00 I took off my jacket. It was so hot!! Ok it wasn't that warm but it sure felt like it. I was ready to play some wiffle ball, but the stupid snow is just chilling on the ground. The weatherman today just said it could have been like 20 degrees warmer if we didn't have snow on the ground.

I got out of the car around 1:45 and I immediately felt the warmth of the sun, something I haven't felt in a long time. It was actually a bit toasty walking to class. But it felt great not having to wear a sweatshirt!

Here's a story for the Sageteers. Today in my Art & Social Studies for Teachers class, we went over how art and social studies relate. Then she told us after a short lecture that that's all we'll be doing with social studies in this class. In a class called Art & Social Studies for Teachers.

Thats good teaching if I do say so myself. Its like my band director. If we are out of tune for example, he will tell us to fix it and he always says "now thats good teaching," in a joking manor of course, but hey it works.

My professor is a bad teacher. This is her first semester here, as she was at UW-Madison before this. The only reason someone without any connections to this place would leave Madison and come here would be because she got fired at Madison. Seriously, the pay is so much better there, and Madison is a much more prestigious college.

Anyway, she has us doing about 5 projects at once, since we never finish one before we start a new one. We are doing a group lesson plan project right now, and she flat out told my group that several things in our project are bad materials to use.

Anyway, rant over. :D

Central PA, Philly, NJ, nasty storm headed your way!
Sorry, but it's only February. There's a lot of winter left. For the years I lived in Vermont, March was always the worse month for snow. One year, in fact, my daughter got married on April 8. Beautiful day, temperature in the 70's. During the reception a front from Canada found its way down to the lower 48 (curses Canada) and they were unable to make their flight to go on their honeymoon cruise. What a nightmare it was to connect them someplace in the Caribbean to catch the ship. That's why I no longer live up north. :)

My brother in law used to always make the comment about the US sending acid rain up their way. I just told him if they keep the damn cold weather up there we'll see what we can do about the acid rain. ;)
