We're supposed to get snow and freezing rain over the next few days. The first time in months we will have over 30 degree temps, and we get enjoy snow/sleet. Yippie!

here is the briefing we got at work

http://www.erh.noaa.gov/phi/briefing/packages/current_briefing.pdf
and a new one

*FIRST CALL MAP ISSUED*
Here is our first call map for the Nor'easter coming Wednesday Night into Thursday. No start times just yet but for now let's say somewhere around the 8 pm to midnight time frame. Still ??? as it pertains to where that rain/snow line sets up shop, but current thinking is that it stays at or below the I-95 corridor. Areas to the west and north of I-95 (blue) are in for a real kick in the pants. The pink areas will still be in a for a substantial snowstorm with snow for a while before mixing with sleet and freezing rain Thursday and then going back to snow. The coastal shore points will be the snow losers out of this obviously. Snow there will change over to a mix and then rain. The rain will go back to snow possibly before ending Thursday Night. This is a first call map and subject to change like it has so many times in the past. We will have more updates later if needed and most definitely tomorrow morning.

As confessed earlier, I am quite the weather junkie. So, I have been all over the different maps for this upcoming event. SO, the current European model shows 22 inches of snow just west of DC. 20 inches of snow for the York, PA area and just south of that in northern Maryland. 16 inches in the western Philly area. Other models are still showing between 14 and 18 inches of snow in those areas, the Euro was just the most impressive (or frightening). We are supposed to be hosting a party this weekend. Just hoping they get our roads cleared by Saturday!![/quote]
