Yes, PUSH is leaving , but the good news is that "to improve the overall guest experience" they're replacing him with another attraction that just happens to be less expensive, "Mr. Rhubarb."

Absolutely.
However, you will be hard pressed to find Morty, Seymour or Dark Helmet in WDW.
There is at least, a passing reference to Wayne in Imagination, despite the removal of HISTA.

Reading the thraed about @PUSH being gone from WDW, I saw that he is actually owned and operated by a separate company. This got me thinking... What if that company licensed him to appear somewhere else, like in another theme park?

So where am I going with this? Well, I think it's time to bring our old Tapir World concept out of the dumpster. PUSH the Talking Trash Can becomes PI$$ the Spraying Tapir.

Pretty sure that whole thing would only last about one interactive sprays worth.

Disney use to have the finest PR department. Nothing like lying to the largest newspaper in Orlando. Media doesn't take kindly to it. My son said PUSH is dead, on the hub as a goner.

He and his friends are taking bets on how long before PUSH is a retro tshirt.

To avoid legal issues, wouldn't that need to be negotiated with the same independent contractor Disney just went on the outs with?

I watched some of the curling matches on the live feed on my ipad last night. Watching them as I doze off to sleep will be my main way of viewing the game this year. I even woke up around 2am and switched over to Skiing before I was lulled back to sleep again.
