You know what's funny?
Sorry....not really

Being well over 6 foot myself. I often get the feeling that others think that I am unworthy of being in a crowd. Why should I be shunned to the back of the crowd simply because of others desire to be in the front of the crowd?

So you are the freak standing in front of me during Wishes! Next time, get behind me! ;)

Edit: This IS sarcasm

See ....it's like everyone thinks we should all line up by height like we did in elementary school. All tall people would ALWAYS be last in line and would NEVER be able to witness something up close.

Too bad if I was there first...I MUST be removed from the crowd so that the midgets can see.

Complaining complaining complaining...at least you don't have to ask for help to reach for items on the top shelf at the grocery store.

Get that. I am vertically challenged. I pick my spots where a 6+ dude or dudette isn't standing in front of me.
Having a 6+ dude strap one of those puppies on and lifting his kid atop his head certainly wouldn't be a crowd pleaser as any show or parade would start.

Actually my DH & DS are both extremely tall. They don't often get shunned to the back, they are pretty gallant men, they often offer the vertically challenged the opportunity to stand in front of them, I guess it is all in how one approaches that situation. Having had a couple of kids my DH quickly felt for kids that couldn't see around him, my DS just learned by example. They both pop up from seats on buses too for ladies, children and elderly.

My DS has said that type of etiquette is pounded into their heads at Disney, in costume or off duty. I've seen my son pop up on buses, boats and the monorail. Once he popped and the lady that sat down next to me was one of his trainers years ago.

I'm well over 6 feet tall, too. I've let people go in front of me if they asked politely, but I'm not about to move just because I'm tall.
