Okay, I need to know a few facts, because I love bagels and I don't understand your point of view.

-Do you spread anything on them? If so, what?
-Where do you get them? Is it a nationwide chain that I would know, or something specific to your area?
-What kind of bagels (plain, blueberry, etc.)

We have chains that sell bagels, they are OK and better than grocer however there is nothing like a Jewish Deli bagel. I generally have cream cheese mixed with either chive or shallots. My Sis loves Bagels with Cream Cheese and Lox, me not such a fan of Lox. Generally I go for plain bagels however I will buy onion, garlic or Everything bagels.

The texture makes me gag. I've tried it with eggs, with berries, with a spread; all of them make me gag because of the texture.
Hmm. That concept is sort of foreign to me. I don't think I've ever hated a food solely because of the texture.

What I really like about bagels is eating them with cream cheese. Do other breads bother you? If not, I strongly suggest bread and cream cheese as a midnight snack.

I'm actually not sure if I've ever had a Jewish bagel. Will have to try.

Here the big chains we have are Bruegger's (sp?) and Einstein Bros. I usually get a blueberry bagel with hazelnut or blueberry cream cheese, but I also like the pumpkin flavored cream cheese they have at Bruegger's in the fall.

Toast and Cream Cheese was a staple in college. Good 'ole Philly cream cheese.

Sourdough bothers me, but pretty much other breads are fine (pumpernickel!:hungry:) My mom makes a dip that's basically a block of cream cheese covered in salsa. It's great. Of course you don't eat it all by yourself...I like toast with grape jelly. Or a biscuit with grape jelly.

In other midnight snack news... off to get one right now.

I have some strange tastes. After 11:00 at night I start to crave avocados and pepperjack cheese. It has to be both of them, too.

Interesting. One atop the other? I like them both but never as a snack together. I like horseradish cheese dipped in ranch as a snack.

They are OK but Jewish deli's are in a different rhelm. Worth fettering out a deli.

Being Irish Catholic I'm all in for St Patrick's day. But my corn beef comes from a Jewish deli. They do it so much Better. And of course a loaf of rye bread unsliced.

Absolutely! And I'm glad you didn't mention cabbage with the corned beef . . . I hate cabbage. Can't stand lima beans, either; the taste and texture make me want to gag.

Blueberry bagels for breakfast nearly every day. Haven't found a good bagel place down here, so I settle for Thomas' when we're here. But they have a honey butter here that we can't get at home, so that makes up for it, kinda...

My favorite bagels were from this deli in Clifton NJ. Last summer I got two dozen to bring home and put them in the freezer. They are the best! For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the place. Not entirely too familiar with the area (I'm not the driver) but I know that storefront and strip mall when we go past it.

I feel ...strange. It's like the calm before the storm. I dunno. Definitely not normal (I'm shivering but I'm HOT) but not deathly ill either.

Going to med express after work.... if the weather holds out long enough to allow me to do so :\

I can't. I just can't. I don't eat anything that jiggles. I can't.
