-I didn't hear "Omaha" once... but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention.
It seemed like he was being drowned out by the crowd so his shouts were not audible. There were a LOT of Seahawks in town for this game. I talked to some friends who went to the game and they said it looked like a Seattle game there were so many. The pictures of the lines filing from NY Penn to Secaucas to the Meadowlands were very dark blue. NYC yesterday they were the most present. Not just at the Blvd event. I went downtown for dinner and drinks and there were a lot of Seahawk hats in McSorley's (Great bar btw, one of the oldest standing drinking establishments in the city).

They made East Rutherford into Seattle.

@Gabe1 You know how yesterday you posted something about stressed backwards is Desserts? I have this paper due tomorrow for Psych that I've been working on, and suddenly I'm thinking about that Oreo cookie ice cream in the freezer downstairs...

Go, go fast, (but with care of that ankle) for Ice Cream cures all! Psych was one of my kids favorite courses their freshman years, but it was a bite, not a cake walk.

I'm beginning to think it doesn't matter with the ankle. My mom wants me to give it time to heal before going to the doctor, and yesterday I was walking around Orioles Fanfest (a large convention for O's fans). I rehurt it. Was it walking around? Nope. Was it because I got kicked in the crowd? Nope. Standing up from lunch, hadn't even put any weight on it, wearing the brace, I feel it give out. I get home, look, and yup, it's swollen again.:banghead: My mom wants me to give it until March. I'm thinking I should go sooner. Like, in a week or two if it's still swollen.

It's interesting so far. I'm not stressing out too much about this paper. The information is right smack in the article the paper is based on and he's giving it back to us with comments, and then we may revise it and get half the points back. Even if it does snow, it's due tomorrow, so...

My kids were frequent fliers to the orthopedic doc. My DD especially was prone to ligament and tendon pulls and tears along with several break in her foot, 3 in 3 years if I remember correctly. I wasted no time getting them there...me on the other hand, I limp around for months thinking it will get better on its own. lol.

I've sprained my right ankle on multiple occasions, never my left. I've never had a sprain this bad, or one that I keep reinjuring while wearing the brace for that matter. The only other injury I've ever had is an overuse injury from violin in my left wrist. I can tell when I'm sick because that wrist still swells, lol. I occasionally twist it the wrong way and have to wear a brace from a while (Jan 2013 I ended up with a very awkward tan line from being in Disney and having the brace!) Never have really had to go to the doctor for anything, and have never broken a bone.

Yep, my husbands leg swells like that. Me, most everything I can blame on gymnastics. It is a nasty sport but great for the sports orthopedics.

Glad to hear that people enjoyed the Super Bowl. So many people have house parties, and they look forward to the big event every year.

I'm probably the lone fan here who watched the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet, instead. (Didn't watch it all though; I had it on in the background while I was doing other things.) The puppies were so cute! Guess I have a soft spot for shelter animals; my own dog is a rescue dog, as was my previous dog as well. :)

All in all, regardless of whether people prefer traditional football or "puppy" football, it sounds to me like we all had fun yesterday, watching the festivities! This morning, it's back to work . . . ugh. Letdown.

I somehow managed to pull myself together enough this morning to get to work... Although I'm very early, so I'm crashing at the coffee house. Feel like crap. Again. I'm starting to think this "work for a living" thing is an allergy.

Did someone mention the steelers? Yeah, no matter how badly they suck at times, they're still my number one for obvs reasons. It's treason to be a fan of any ohio team in this city. Or the ravens. My #2 and 3 are the jets and giants. Which is only acceptable here when the steelers are really doing bad (like this last year) otherwise it's a do-not-mention scenario.

People tend to take their sports seriously here. Can't imagine why.

I need a coffee IV drip. Why hasn't this been invented yet?

Do they still have sawdust on the floor?

Well due to the Big Game being severely disappointing for hubby, we left the room and salvaged a few hours at MK to ease the pain. To me, I know he's disappointed, but at lease he has SEEN his team win, twice back to back, no less. I will most likely NEVER get that!!

So my guess is 7DMT won't be ready in 5 days (wish I were taller...)

I heard though didn't see, apparently there was a kitten bowl yesterday too. I missed the puppy bowl. :(
Maybe I can find it out there somewhere.
