Oh, I meant to comment on the Bruno Mars performance. I'm not a huge fan of him, but I don't dislike him either. I thought it was a very good performance, especially compared to recent years. Nothing can be worse than the Black Eyed Peas during the Packers-Steelers Super Bowl. That was brutal.

Lesson learned from today: if your spouse is forced to use a scooter due to an injury and is frustrated from trying to navigate said scooter through MK crowds, he will probably not find humor in your quoting Jim Carrey lines from Dumb and Dumber. Likewise, he will probably not be amused by you running alongside the aforementioned scooter and pretending you're Rocky and he's Apollo Creed.

I would have loved to have seen a YouTube of that! Chuckle.

I think they totally missed the chance to make that joke...

I could not care less who wins this game anyway....I've never been a pro ball fan.

I love college ball but pro ball leaves me cold.

I have been forced to care about pro ball. Have you seen my University of Illinois team the last several years. Oy.

His dancing was excellent and the production value was just awesome. Best presentation in years. I like Beyoncé a bit better as an artist, but this performance blows hers from last year out of the water. I do agree with @MOXOMUMD though that it could have ended on a happier note.

And lets pretend that Black Eyed Peas cover of Sweet Child O Mine never happened.

It was the closest I've seen to this than I have in a long while...

I think Bruno knocked it out of the park for what a Superbowl show should be. No serious political commentary, no major issues. Just fun to watch.

Crabtree shoved him in the face. Sherman got mad and yelled about it. Him getting hurt is not proper karma to yelling. Classless or not.

Meh, a very sanitized version. Not many believers that out of nowhere Crabtree just shoved him in the face for being a classy gentleman or his choking gesture at the 49ers was appropriate. Not that the money matters but at least he was fined. Good snapshot of the real man.

He wanted the attention, he got it and everyone spoke of Sherman over and over again, not his team. His tantrum was a full focus on himself. A win win for Sherman, he needs his ego stroked even if he has to stroke the ego himself. Today he got the cheers as he got carted away. Thankfully Sherman isn't the MVP, can't imagine how he would behave at WDW. Maybe it is a maturity thing, he could grow out of it.

I agree with this. While I don't like trash talking (it's just not my thing... ironically I am a trash can), I think Sherman just got caught up in the moment. I believe he's a good person. And I can't judge Sherman or Crabtree for what happened without knowing the entire story behind their relationship, and I'm sure those two are the only ones who do.

Getting injured is not proper karma for what happened, and nobody should be wishing injury to any player, regardless of anything.

Hey, just came home after a Super Bowl party that went late. How 'bout dem 'Hawks, eh?

A few comments on the game and football in general:
-I didn't hear "Omaha" once... but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention.
-The halftime show was really good, even though I don't like either of the bands that played. I think what I liked was how it seemed so simple compared to recent performances (especially Madonna two years ago). It didn't have any huge set pieces or props, but the lasers and fireworks more than made up for that.
-Richard Sherman may be my least favorite player on the Seahawks, but he is not a "thug" or whatever people made him out to be after that interview. Most other players would have been just as mad if they had just been stiff-armed after saying "good game" (and that is all he said. Listen to the audio).

I am a big believer in Karma. Karma isn't about what others wish on people, that is not Karma. Karma is from Buddhism. The belief of person's own actions viewed as deciding their fate. And yeah I believe there is more to the story of Sherman & Crabtree and agree Sherman did get caught up in the moment, that is actually understated, but it isn't the first time the dude has gone off on the tangent that he thinks he is the best. He had a very quiet day today, very nondescript Super Bowl game for him, others on his team were the stars today. They had an amazing game.

@Gabe1 You know how yesterday you posted something about stressed backwards is Desserts? I have this paper due tomorrow for Psych that I've been working on, and suddenly I'm thinking about that Oreo cookie ice cream in the freezer downstairs...
