We left for the airport at 5:00 a.m. on 09/23.
I started packing at 8:00 p.m. on 09/22.

When you get older, you care a LOT less. (Well, except my mom, but she was a clothes horse.)
Also we had a car, and knowing that Publix and Walgreens are only 10 minutes away means I fret a lot less about forgetting anything.
Actually, I'm more surprised because they usually start a week in advance. Unless my mom is waiting for me to completely empty my suitcase since it's one of the big ones and they'll need it. My brother is usually a packing nag and drags the suitcases upstairs sooner than this.

I packed three days in advance this time. It was pretty simple; I took everything out from SC and put it back in. I know what you mean about being less worried about it..but this time I forgot nail polish, bandaids, antibiotic ointment, and socks because I panicked towards the end and of course, we didn't have a car because 18 is too young to rent a car. In SC I would have just had my mom take me to Target.

pictures or it didn't happen!

I'm off to bed too - all this drama takes its toll on us old ladies. Good night all!
Some of us old ladies stay up all night and sleep most of the morning.

Not back to work yet, but when I am, I don't leave for work until 11:30 - and I only need 30 minutes to make the bed, get ready, feed the animals, make coffee and get out the door.

So Frozen doesn't end with Elsa transforming into a live action Kristen Bell who then starts promoting the Veronica Mars movie? Okay everything on that flight makes more sense now.
No, it was Anna that turns into Kristen Bell. Ya know, since she voiced Anna and Idina Menzel voiced Elsa.:p

Some of us college students do that too.

Hey, wait a minute, and you got mad because I implied that you were not a kid and you said I implied that you were old but you then say you are an old lady? What gives???:jawdrop:

You convinced me. I'm old. Compared to you, anyway.

Assuming by your screen name that you were born in 95, I have a kid born that same year. And I was 27 1/2 when I had him.

On the plus side, I still have very few wrinkles (although the marionette lines are getting deep) and I have a hair dresser who takes care of the grey.

I don't blame you on the bag of clothes thing. Last August Southwest lost all our bags (well, not lost, but left them in Orlando). I now pack sleep clothes and a change of clothes in my carry on. My parents leave Friday...I cannot believe they are not packing yet!
Delta didn't lose my bags. I honestly was expected they would after reading your post.

Whatever her name is, I'm just glad this movie didn't end with her choosing Piz. (If you watched VM and saw the trailer for the movie, you will get this.)

Some people, crazy people, like it.

I have a marathon-running girlfriend who says diets are for people too lazy to exercise.
I say exercise is for people too undisciplined to diet.
I have a friend who loves to run. Figures that he's going to be a gym teacher.

PS- I started this post by originally typing "I have a dream", then I realized that that wasn't what I wanted to post.

P.S. I didn't get mad, @StarWarsGirl95. Very little gets under my skin.
My kids can push my buttons, and one of my brothers can.

I was just joshing you about calling me old. To you, I am.
To me, I'm just me.

Sounds cool!
Although, they have some really awesome stuff at Whole Paycheck, it's just too rich for our blood on a regular basis.

I made a quick dash into Whole today, cause it was there and I didn't want to go elsewhere. I could kick myself, my time is worth a lot but so are the $$$'s. I bought 2 bananas, a pound of green grapes, a small bag of flavored pita chips and a small deli container of apple/pear salsa. $15. Seriously $15!

I also today bought a half pound box of Fannie May mint melt aways, and Fannie May milk chocolate caramels rolled in SeaSalt. Fannie May was the better purchase over the Whole.

You said it, not me :P

Congrats, you are younger than my mother! She was 29 when I was born. And yes, I was born April of '95. She says any grey hairs she has are because of me. I say they are my brother's fault, but she says nope because she started going grey after I was born. Our hair dresser covers it as well. My dad is a silver fox. But he does not look 53. Nor does my mom look 48. They are fortunate people

Grocery prices are crazy here, north of the border.
4l of milk (essentially a gallon) - $4.79
Apples - $1.99-$2.99/pound - depending on the type.
4 chicken (800grams) - not organic - $14.00-$16.00
Red, Orange, Yellow peppers - $3.49/pound. Green peppers are cheaper, but I don't like them.
Loaf of bread - $3.00 +

No wonder our wages are higher than your's. We need it for taxes (don't get me started) and higher commodity prices.

Why am I still sitting at baggage claim reading this thraed?
Ugh, sorry. Sometimes things go quickly and sometimes they go slowly.

But yesterday, I went through security in two minutes. There was no one in line, the TSA officers looked bored, they had to wait for me, and they were cracking jokes. I told the one TSA officer that I had liquid meds in my duffel (which you are supposed to do) and he said, quite literally "I don't care" and then I told him it was on his Website, and he said, "Not my Website, I didn't write it." He just did not give a darn. And then our bags were the first ones to come.
