When you get to WDW, what sight makes you smile and decompress?

Oh, it's the WDW Welcome arch which they have so wisely blocked off to keep people
from just stopping on the main road for a picture.

Coming off the I4 from the west at the first Disney exit and a few minutes later getting that first distant glimpse of the Tower of Terror. It's nice seeing the Disney road signs before then but the actual sight of the TOT is the real clincher.

Not a sight, but I can't help but smile widely when I hear the opening drums and trumpet fanfare of the Mickey Mouse Club song taking that left turn into the Magic Kingdom entrance with Space Mountain in the background. No matter what is going on, my face immediately changes.

There are runners up, such as first hearing the official voice of the resort (usually welcoming on a bus), seeing the Resort's gate, going through the arm-guarded gate of the first resort we go into, seeing cartoons on the kid's area in the lobby, and seeing the castle down Main Street.

One which may be more unique to me is that first settling down into the Jungle Cruise. While the music going into MK might make me happy, most of the trip is spent fretting about the long walk up from the buses, through the entrance, up Main Street, through hub, and into Adventureland. When everyone sits down in the boat to relax for that first ride of the trip, it means that now, we're here, we're in, and we can enjoy.

This is definitely one of mine and I have posted this on other threads. For me it's a build up throughout the day. I, for some reason, am in charge of all the planning and logistics. So I am nervous when our first day starts with getting there. There are no direct flights from our area so I am always a bundle of nerves until we get on our connecting flight and in the air. But I don't really start to relax until we are on the ME bus and that "silly but fun" video starts. Then when we go through the welcome sign along the highway brings another smile to my face. Finally the "pressure" is completely gone when we enter our room and I flop down on the bed. AAAAAHHHHHHHHH! We are home.
