When will Universal Orlando go smoke free?

Some day it was visible smokey and no one died of it. It was literally like being right next to a forest fire everywhere you went outside. In case you are wondering, there is no way to put out a forest fire in a large swamp, it just burns until it rains enough to put it out.

That's the opinion of many smokers... til they quit and realize just how gross it is to be around as a non-smoker.

What an ignorant post. Not only is smoking disgusting and unhealthy, the smoke is heavy and lingers on the clothes of people who don't smoke. Should I really have to walk around with cigarette smoke-smelling clothes because of some selfish need to smoke in inappropriate places? And while simply walking by someone who is smoking isn't really a danger, prolonged exposure to secondhand smoke IS a health hazard. How about some common courtesy. That said, Universal IS smoke free. Like Disney, there are designated smoking areas, But also like Disney, it doesn't seem like any of the employees will confront someone who is smoking in smoke-free areas.

What is the point? Smoke from fire and smoke from cigarettes are very different and cause very different reactions. And effects of exposure will vary based on a number of factors. Your post illustrates how woefully ignorant people are when it comes to science, and apparently, societal manners.

Hmmm, perhaps we've made advances in science and realize that smoking (1st OR 2nd-hand smoke) is a serious health hazard and should be avoided. Maybe YOU didn't "die" of an asthma attack but there are plenty of people who do suffer from asthma and other serious health conditions that can be triggered from 2nd-hand smoke (e.g. migraine headaches). I should be able to enjoy going to a theme park and not have cigarette/cigar smoke blowing in my face, or worse, my kids' faces. Smoke in the designated smoking areas or put on a nicotine patch (or better yet...quit smoking a quit putting a strain on our healthcare system).

Reread my post. The keyword is "secondhand". I have no trouble breathing when I'm around someone eating a Big Mac.

Tobacco is a plant, yes. Composed, like everything else, of chemicals. Carcinogenic chemicals. Exposure to which can cause a myriad of other ailments too. L.A.'s air quality, however, can range from good on some days (meaning air pollution causes no significant risk) to Hazardous (meaning pretty much everyone will be affected). But unlike exposure to the L.A. air, exposure to smoking is easily preventable. Smoking is nothing more more than a self-enabled activity, and the only people claiming secondhand smoke isn't dangerous are the selfish smokers who think they can do whatever they want. Well, science has proven you and them wrong. Secondhand smoke IS dangerous. That's a fact. Your refusal to agree doesn't make you right or change what is factual.
