When is it "too friendly"? Ladies, what do you say?

1 is my BFF who's a former castmember; 2 is her BFF and 3 is my former Disney college program roommate. Not to stereotype, but to stereotype - they all got divorced shortly after their Moroccan husbands became US Citizens.

Wow. It's so interesting that you say that because when I retold this story to my boss that is the first thing he said. "Sounds like visa shopping....". I don't want to go there. But... it didn't seem very sincere now that I think on it.

Yeah, sounds a bit creepy (this word is all over this thread, but it does describe it well) to me.

Oh, as a side note...did he look like this?

If the aforementioned creeper was indeed Rowan Atkinson, then this unfortunate altercation would have just been hilarious and would have made a great story for the grand kids. But unfortunately it was not, so that just leaves it to being down right creepy and inappropriate.

I have a female friend who also decided to marry a morocccan man (not from Disney) but then had a really bad experience and divorced him in less than a year.

I don't want to stereotype either, but some things don't translate well between cultures, and CM's hired to do their job should be taught/obey that while working here.

On the other hand, when I was a contractor in 2007-2008 I was assigned to fix credit card terminals in the pavilions and met the nicest women in the Moroccan pavilion :)

My BIL is a CM and he told me to avoid that drink stand because the men there are definitely trying to get someone to marry them for citizenship. Several of the men there have told my BIL this directly. There have been many complaints filed against them, yet I don't understand why Disney doesn't do anything about it.

IMO we spend a lot of money to enter a Disney theme park and we bring our friends and children with us by choice, but harassment like that is tolerated in Vegas or on Bourbon street, but the CMs at Disney should be held to a much higher standard. I would have reported it and probably still would.

Just wanted to add my two cents. Pulling a label off a bottle of beer and giving it to someone means they are looking for a hookup for a little "somethinsomethin". A friend owns a small dive bar and we laugh at all the college students that try this. Sorry to hear about this creeper but on the other side of the coin, why did you stay there for 10-15 minutes trying to get your drink? I would have told him, well, *:$×%!(%$;* the drink and walked away.

I've never heard that!!! Why would it signify that (or how would he know?)

I was wondering why he was peeling the label and putting it on the glass/cup!

I had no idea what it meant until I asked my buddy. (Obviously no one ever gave me one, lol.) I just chalked it up as one of those silly college things. But honestly, why would those guys think someone would take time out of their Disney vacation for a little midnight romance from someone they've known for less than five minutes. Sounds like a bad Lifetime movie.
