When is enough enough?

So like your own example... try something else instead of doing what you think you are 'supposed to do' and see what you end up with.

I took the wife to DL for our anniversary because I wanted to exposure her to that.. wasn't quite what she thought of a Disney getaway. I finally booked her a cruise a few years ago and she's in love. To me it reminds me of Disney service as it used to be. So we've been doing that. In Nov I have a few days and we are trying Discovery Cove.

You'll never know if you don't try. Don't forget you don't owe Disney anything.
In the past four years we have also been to Stowe, VT, Breckenridge and Estes Park, CO, Savannah, GA, Hilton Head Island, SC, and Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas, and closer to home, Gatlinburg, TN and Callaway Gardens, GA, so it is not like we only go to WDW, just most often.

We just got back, and before we left had some doubts, but it was one of our best trips. It all depends on how one makes it. We knew that Bugs life and Philharmagic were being refurbed, and the hub, and Astro Orbiter, and so so on, but there are many things to see and do. My only disappointment was with MY DISNEY EXPERIENCE, being an ATT place and having ATT, internet was horrible, as was the app. Could not log in many times, change FPS or even add one, dining changes had to be called in. Once it it is all fixed it will be great, but I will take the old Fp passes anyday. WDW will continue to make changes as necessary, cant live in the past forever, otherwise it will become extinct and stale. If one does not like it, dont go!!!!!!

We just got back as well and had our best trip as a family in 8 years of visiting. It was expensive and relatively overpriced, but the value is still there for us. Now, last year we went to Uni instead, so Disney ultimately got less of our dollars due to the increased price and reduced offerings. Money talks, please speak with your dollars.

Exactly how can you bash and belittle something when you have absolutely no experience with it? How can anybody say that any of the new acts will be worse than what is out there now? How can you say that Frozen will not be a decent change to Maelstrom? How can you say that closing Backlot won't result it something better? I am not arguing that any of the changes will be better or worse but you have to at least see something before you can state any kind of opinion on it. It would be like me saying I hate the iPhone 15 because I liked the iPhone 3 so much and Apple shouldn't have made any changes after the 3.

So what that they want to change the acts in the different pavilions, it shows that Canada has more to offer than guys running around in kilts, or that ANY county has diverse cultural offerings that can't be showcased with just one act.

Guess what? Change happens, if you don't agree with the path they are taking there is absolutely nothing forcing to book your next trip, or spend any of your money on any Disney/Marvel/Star Wars products in the future.

I suspect that the security, on stage, was to protect them from that very fan base. The ones that will mob those folks to get autographs or objects, etc. It's to bad they are gone, but, I fail to see why having security there would be a problem.

Sorry to disagree with you again (coffe crisps are still the best). It appeared to me in the videos that the mob was very polite and orderly. I don't think Off Kilter was in any danger. they booed security who were there in my opinion to stop the crowed from creating a scene. Personally I think the mob should have marched down to guest services and caused a scene there.

I love girls in bikinis - they are good without me even having to experience them.. but I don't need to experience them to know they are an imappropriate swap for my kid's biology teacher. Some things you don't need to experience to be able to qualify them as incompatible or contradictory.

How the crowd actually acted is not the reason that security was there. It was because they have been in that place before and until the event no one really knows what will happen. For example, was the crowd orderly and polite because security was there? Does anyone know that answer for sure? It is a precaution that is to late to fix after it happens so measures are taken to protect the performers. Pretty normal considering the situation and the unsatable hunger that fans have for "something to remember them by". Especially when it can get on e-bay.

Oh and btw... Coffee Crisps are awful! Always have been, always will be.;)

I love Disney, it is my happy place. That said I am really angry with them right now. Off Kilter, Showcase players, Backlot, fife and drum all at once? What is left? I know, I know lots.

I think it is too much, too soon with no warning. I would have made a trip down but it wasn't possible because I already booked all my vacations for the year. Why did Disney provide no warning? Perhaps because they knew there would be kick back?

I was planning a trip for February but am now looking at other options. Childish I know.

How much warning do you need? Because you had a month.

How about I decry the overall reduction in acts then? Or that Frozen, as an animated film set in a fictional locale, shouldn't be taking over a pavikion based upon a real country? How about that while change occurs, it doesn't have to be for the sake of capitalizing on one movie across multiple parks?

And yes, I'm not booking any trips to WDW in the future. I'm on a DCL cruise in January, and spending three days at UOR beforehand. And are planning two weeks on the West Coast next summer. Does that fit your prerequisites?

Simply adore another random county fervently defending the brand....

In the past there has been a few months warning. Not everybody has the luxury of distance to make a quick trip down or the luxury of being able to ask for days off that soon, barring emergency of course. Unfortunately for me my boss didn't see Disney World changing their line up as an emergency.

I can see your point. My question is this do you think they expected that kind of crowd?
