Good Morning Everyone..Thursday morning...Just read Todays food blog,ah sweet memories.Cookes of Dublin. We had lunch there last year and I had the Beef & Lamb Pie and my DW had the Chicken & Mushroom Pie. They are home made,so we had to wait around 15 mins or so,but it was well worth the wait..But later that day, back at our resort,we met American folks whom we were speaking to the day before at one of the small pools. When we told them about our lunch, they thought we had pizza,so we had to explain..But have you had a pie at WDW that wasn't a pizza pie,but thought it was worth a mention..;)

Had a sample of the Apple Pie at WCC last year. It was quite good.

Not sure about the folks you met, I grew up knowing that there were other types of pie...Shepherd's Pie, Pot Pies...as well as pizza. Never really referred to a pizza as a pizza pie...

When I was a young soldier on one of my first “Passes” (permission to leave the base) I said to my buddy who grew up on a farm in the mid-west “Let’s get a pizza.” He asked “A piece of what?” I said “No, a pizza pie.” He said “Okay, I like apple, blueberry banana cream.” It was something out of “Abbott and Costello.”
That said other than my favorite key lime dessert pie, our only experience with “pies” is my DW had the cottage pie at the Rose & Crown she liked it but it’s just not my thing.

Question: I've been to Cookes of Dublin and had the fish and chips, quite good. I love Cuban sandwiches and have been thinking about trying Bongo's Walk up window this upcoming trip. What is better a Pie from Cookes or a Cuban Sandwich from Bongos. Also thinking about a sandwich from Earl's but it sounds a little boring to me. Any opinion on all 3? Which would you choose?
