I seem to remember a lady at baggage check in last year getting all bent out of shape with me because we had already put our stickers on our bag handles.

Do we wait till we get there or can we do it before we leave? I could be really off base here but I just remember getting an attitude for it

We always put them on before we leave the house and have never had an issue with them from Continental.

I don't know what I'm thinking then. Maybe the lady who waited on us liked doing it and she was mad she couldn't!

Oh well we leave MONDAY!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!:sohappy::sohappy:

Only thing I could think of, and this is far fetched, is if you had something like a duffel, and you put it through both handles, so if they had to inspect it, they could not open it without ripping the tag.

But even that is kind of far fetched.

When I saw the title of this thread, I immediately knew who started it.
You like to focus on the little details of trips like I do!:wave::sohappy:

I always put them on just before leaving for the airport. (Kind of a final ceremonial thing:shrug:)

Have a Blast on your trip!!!!!

That really makes no sense. Unless like someone said you put them through the handle where they have to pick it up? I don't know. I put them on right when we get them so I don't loose them.

No it was regular luggage. I actually remember starting to put them on in front of her and she came out from behind saying no no...Maybe she thought I did not know what I was doing. Oh well they can EAT IT cause they are attached now and I am packed and ready to roll!!!!!!!!

Yeah I don't want something to be screwed up over something so stupid.

Think about it. Once you check your bags in with your airline, you no longer have access to your bags. So your bags are flying to Orlando without the DME tags. These bags will end up at the baggage claim carousel ... since they don't have DME tags on them, they're not being snagged behind-the-scenes and taken to Disney's luggage sorting facility.

Putting the DME tags on your bags after you pick up your luggage at baggage claim is sort of like walking in the rain and then going inside and putting on your raincoat.

In other words, if you don't put them on before you check your bags, then you can't put them on, PERIOD.

I always have put my yellow tags on before we leave the house to go to the airport... I think you just got a really rude airline check in lady!!!

Safe travels John!!! Have I told you lately how completely jealous I am of you right now???

The baggage people usually get excited that I'm going to WDW when they see the DME tags, I've never gotten scolded for having them on. That's weird.
