When did the Polynesian get so expensive?

It’s more a question of how do you sustain a MASS operation...that needs the masses to be financially viable...when you eliminate so much of the potential audience with pricing?

More than a tepid Star Wars response. The indicator is that they have no reported large attendance gains in raw numbers over this extended “boom”

That is a canary in the coal mine that’s short of breath.

defenders say: “it’s more luxury now” or “they’re trying to reduce attendance” or “good for me, less people”

Silly, silly, mouse addicts...without masses - and increasing mobs - they would close the place...or at a likely minimum slash things and punish who’s left with an egregious attempt to solve the losses
But again we've been predicting this so called breaking point for AT LEAST 5 years, at least.
We've been forecasting the mass Exodus of the middle class since what?? When did the tickets hit $100 bucks?

Are you kidding sir, exactly what indication has there been that the canary is short of breathe?? People are spending like they are drunken sailors. Lol there was a thread about the price of after hour events, yet those puppies are sold out.

Yeah EVENTUALLY you will be right and the economy will go into a slow down but hey remember even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Ok so yes I guess in 10 years they will have to worry about how to pull the masses in.

As we always say, only time will tell. I admit, I never try to prognosticate far out. My bet is for the next 5 years unless something like we start another useless war, wdw will continue collecting people's moola hand over fist.

What year is the 50th??

The attendance has been near flat during a “boom”

That is unprecedented.

Let’s just watch and see.

Whenever I look at prices for Crescent Lake Resorts vs Monorail Resorts I usually am able to book a room on the monorail for about the same rate, granted it’s never been the Poly (last stayed there in 1989) but between the Garden Wing and the deep discounts being offered for the Grand lately I’ve gotten a decent rate most of the time and when I don’t I usually stay at WL, as I don’t think Crescent Lake is worth the premium) Here is my problem with the Crescent Lake Resorts:

-Most days I’m usually visiting MK or Epcot for part of the day, the only resorts that get expedited access to both are the monorail resorts. DHS when you aren’t at the Boardwalk, is a long hike and the boats are way too slow with huge lines at closing (the time of day I want to be lazy) and I just don’t visit DHS as often.

-The resorts are far bigger then the monorail resorts I don’t like spending 10-15 min walking inside hotel corridors to get from the lobby/entrance to my room. This is by far my biggest issue with these hotels and why I have yet to stay there.

-The monorail resorts always have the nearest bus stops at AK and DHS

-I really like starting my Epcot day by walking under SSE (although leaving I feel I would prefer the IG) but more importantly, in a year when GotG opens Epcot’s two thrill rides that will almost assuredly have the longest lines will be far closer to the main entrance then IG which will make rope dropping IG not worth very much (I know, Ratatouille but I foresee that one not being as popular as a roller coaster of TT after its initial opening popularity.).

I think the opening of SWGE was the biggest clue to date. They got greedy and turned a stampede into "nah... I'll wait".
Wait last week was a "nah"?? Wasn't there a thread about HS being the crowdest it's ever been in five years??

Those were fake people??

Ok I'll bite "the end is near".

Let me say Jobu, you guys probably follow alot more closely than I do, so I do listen to you guys

So you're just going to skip the part where I clearly said the opening?
