Although I've only stayed in it when I was a baby, I'd say the Contemporary Resort... the only time i ever stayed in a resort was that time! It looks more of my style

Also, my favorite monorail is black :)

1.Polynesian - Best theme, room size, and location.
2.Grand Floridian - Nicest rooms. Best pools. Best restaurants.
3.Contemporary - Other than the fact that you can walk to the MK, there's nothing that appeals to me about it.

I have been fascinated by The Contemporary since my first trip to WDW. Sadly, I have never stayed for the night.

What this member says.
I like the Contemporary because it's modern and contemporary in one of my favourite places in the world.
However, because I'm from the UK, the Contemporary (whenever we look) is always THE most expensive hotel so I've never been able to stay there! :(

I'm going to say Contemp because it's the only resort where the monorail goes through. I have stayed at both, and the Contemporary is the most convenient.

When you say both, which do you mean?

seeing as how not one single person has voted the Grand Floridian their #1 choice, his meaning is pretty easy to discern. :)

For all its grandeur, the Grand Floridian fails to win hearts in the way the Polynesian and Contemporary do.

edit: I had to vote for the Polynesian for the reason that if I stayed at the Contemporary, I would probably find an excuse to go over to the Polynesian, but if my room was at the Poly, I would be set with all I needed for that trip. :D

So, not a single person has voted the Floridian yet, and it's one of the most pricey resorts...is this because no one has stayed there, or because they didn't enjoy it?

I've never stayed overnight there, so I'd like to know.

Not one of - It IS the priciest.

My guess is many people have never stayed there and had the same pre-conceived notions that I had about it before staying there. Too girly and stuffy. I love the Poly, and it's my 1st choice because of room size and convenience, but the Poly can't hold a candle to the GF when it comes to the niceness of the rooms, pools, and service.

Also depends what board you're on. On "the other one", Poly would be 1st, GF 2nd, and Contemporary, a distant 3rd. The Poly comes out on top pretty much no matter what board you're on though.

Polynesian!

I never understood the MK Views at Contemporary??! They seem to me like the most expensive parking lot views in the whole place!!

At the Poly, the fireworks are all lined up behind the castle, and the views of the Lagoon plus the Castle and Space Mtn in the background are epic.

Contemp overlooks parking lot, storage buildings, service roads, and a side view of the castle where the fireworks never quite line up right.

To each their own. But Poly for being directly across the Lagoon all the way!!

(But I much prefer an Epcot Resort compared to any Monorail Resort. :))

Polynesian wins hands down for ambiance, theming, and best lagoon view. However, one can enjoy the Poly atmosphere without actually staying there. I prefer to take advantage of the convenient location of the Contemporary and visit other resorts (monorail and non) for a stroll or dining as the mood strikes.

As for the Grand Floridian, well, it may be the nicest resort on property but it is watered down compared to most real luxury resort hotels. The Ritz-Carlton Orlando has far superior rooms and amenities and I'm pretty sure it's cheaper!
