If you're staying in a Disney resort or not, if you park hop or not, if you're there for 3 days or 2 weeks; what is your favorite mode of transportation when you're at the World and why????

My vote goes to boat. The favorite part of my trip when staying at VWL is being able to take the boat to the Magic Kingdom. I especially love it at night. It brings romance and magic even if there are crying children on board.

I absolutely, positively love getting on the Monorail at EPCOT and watching the whole landscape go by and making the resort loop through the resorts, not to mention seeing Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain as we're getting closer to the MK.

Although I take the monorail every chance I get, I had to vote busses only because the monorail doesn't go everywhere I need to go. I know they're tempermental & problematic, but I like the idea of stepping off the plane & not having to do any driving or navigating while I'm on vacation. Just my 2 cents, lol.

Walking is usually our main source of transportation while at the world though I selected the bus as well. I would have said monorail but we rarely used it on our last trip with the exception of a few quick trips to some of the resorts along the loop.

I voted for the Monorail. You can drive a car, boat or segway, or take a bus, or walk anywhere in the world. But, there aren't too many places that have a monorail as an option.

I voted walking. Obviously you can't walk to every park, but walking from a few of the resorts to the parks is the way to go. You go at your own pace, no stops; plus you get to take in all the sights and sounds. Walking from EPCOT to HS, though a bit of a jaunt, is a nice little trip.

Definitely agree with that. We stayed at the Swan last trip and having the chance to walk to both Epcot and DHS was great. Take a stroll down the Boardwalk in the early morning was a great way to kick off the day as well.

My favorite has to be either taking the boat back to the WL at night or walking to EPCOT in the evening from the BC. The WL boat ride is so serene and romantic and the walk is just plain cool, especially when you start seeing the burining torches and hearing the music from WS.
