Home. Seriously. I live in beautiful South Florida, I live in a nice house with a spacious back yard, I know where to find all of the cool places within my area, and all of my stuff is here. I love to travel, but I'm a generally happy and satisfied guy right here at home.

Comox Valley BC. Miracle Beach is the best beach ever and the area is full of little farms where you can buy anything from farm fresh eggs to organic aged steak from the farmer. Take 'em back to your campsite and cook it up over the campfire. Then park "hop up" to the mountains and have a snowball fight. After that, stop by the pier and get some crabs and halibut and go back to the beach for supper. Oh and fire wood is delivered daily.

Amsterdam!!!

As excited as I am about going to WDW soon(ish), if overseas airfairs were more reasonable we'd be going somewhere like Amsterdam or Paris instead (in a way, I'm glad they're high so that we can finally go to WDW!). I priced airfare to Paris and it cost almost as much as the airfare, resort and park tickets combined cost for our trip to WDW.

SoCal.

If I could live there I would. I love the beaches, the weather, the area, the vast array of theme parks, the San Diego Zoo, Hollywood....and so many great restaurants.

There isn't anyplace on earth quite like WDW...but there are a few places that give me a similar thrill...a sense of fun, amazing things to look at...in a word Magic.

These are some of them...

Las Vegas...many of the hotels on the strip are so beautifully themed, and I love the downtown light show.

Key West...so crazy cool, relaxing and unique

Chicago...downtown, even growing up there I always feel like a tourist when I look up

Wisconsin Dells...I love the Wilderness and Kalihari resorts. WizardQuest rivals Disney in it's scope and wonder

French Lick Indiana...a small town, I know...but two of the most beautiful turn of the century resorts I have ever been in

Grand Canyon...majestic and breathtaking, and no attraction has ever given me the same feeling

I like home, too. :)
Pool hopping is OK then? I assume your neighbors are friendly.
This made me literally lol. :)

Do you think it is okay to put a towel on rsoxguy's neighbors chairs to save them for a few hours while enjoying the sights in southern Florida?

Only if it's a towel purchased at the rsoxguyresort's gift shop.... or on their website (free shipping on Tuesday's)

Back when I lived in Vermont I had two: WDW and Myrtle Beach, SC. Now that I live in NC and Myrtle is only about a two hour drive, I have only been able to focus on WDW. In my lifetime, I have been all over the world. (well, not all over, but, enough to say that I have seen everything I want to see). Now my only real interest is WDW and the surrounding Florida area.

Yosemite & Grand Canyon for me... AS LONG AS you hike off the well-beaten path.

And also Cedar Point, but I'm biased as it's my home park and I worked there a long time ago. Their new coaster, GateKeeper, is fantastic. I was there on media day and wrote up a report here: http://decadefour.wordpress.com

Now I really feel like I am in a bubble.. besides the short trip that I won to California, I have never been on vacation anywhere but Disney World!

....and I don't mind keeping it that way! :)

There's so much more to see in this world besides WDW! We loved Germany, and will definitely go back there again, I lived in Arizona for a couple of years and loved the whole "4 corners" area, there are so many beautiful national parks here in the USA that I enjoy, and we plan to go to Alaska in a couple of years. This past winter we spent 6 weeks in Florida and actually only visited WDW parks one day, but were never bored.

This might sound eye-brow raising but I gotta to say either New York or Washington DC. I'm from NJ and even though I've been to New York City many times, no two trips are ever the same. Horrid smells aside, I just love walking being surrounded by bright lights, tall buildings and being able to ride the subway to get just about anywhere. Plus there's a ton of restaurants in NYC on my bucket list I must eat at and ones I've thoroughly enjoyed. But I really like DC, as well. Being a history major, I maybe inclined to say that but there's just something cool about going to all the monuments of the country's greatest presidents, the museums of the Smithsonian (My favorite is the Air and Space museum even though I'm not into air and space, in general.) It's just so unique and I couldn't think of anywhere else for the USA's capital.
