What's your darkest Disney secret?

A few of mine...

  • I refuse to return to Walt Disney World until conditions improve to or at least comparable to older standards. (Disneyland, however, I am willing to visit if my budget allows.)
  • I really do not care for Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.
  • I find Rock'n'Roller Coaster to be an incredibly overrated and unenthralling ride.
  • I LOVE the Country Bear Jamboree.
  • I intensely dislike our version of Pirates of the Caribbean, mainly because the lighting is bad and I can't hear a d*mn thing.
  • I find the actual ride portion of Expedition: Everest to be a huge dissappointment. The queue and exterior, though, are stellar.
  • I grumble about the huge commute from the Magic Kingdom parking lot to the actual park every single trip there, regardless of who I'm with.
  • Carousel of Progress is one of my favorite attractions and will make any excuse to enjoy it.
  • I find Buzz lackluster and dissappointing.
  • I really, really like Test Track.
  • I can't stand the background music for Future World.
  • Despite all of the crap it gets, I LOVE The Great Movie Ride.
  • The Animal Kingdom is by far my favorite park of the four.
  • One of my favorite attractions in the Studios is the New York & San Francisco Street Sets.
  • I hate the Lights Motors Action attraction simply because it intrudes on the view and atmosphere of the aforementioned street sets.
  • I really don't mind Dino-Land USA due to its extensive backstory and detailing. (Hey, it's not my favorite - I just can live with it.)
  • The Haunted Mansion is my favorite slow-moving attraction in any theme park.
  • And finally... I've never seen any of the World Showcase films. None of them.

I wish I hadn't seen the WS films... (canada and china)
HM is such a great ride....
I've never rode CoP
CBJ is meh
FW music is bad
I love the music for DHS you hear just behind the bushes towards ToT area (I think it is Fantasia music)
I've never seen Fantasia, Lady and the Tramp, Mary Poppins, and many others.

I've never rode CoP either.

I appreciate the character-ification of EPCOT - makes it more fun for families with children.
I love Mission Space, Test Track, and the current "unfinished" Spaceship Earth.

....Sorry EPCOT purists....

Sure, why not.

I do not like Boma (except for the zebra domes)!

Can't do the Dole Whip as I don't like pineapple.

Don't think that Soarin' is worth waiting in a line for, any length of line.

I think Le Cellier is not over-rated.

Buzz's SRP was a disappointment.

Not really a dark secret, but I LOVE the Citizens of Hollywood aka Streetmosphere.

I never got to go to the AC.

I could add these two to my list as well.
I love characters in Epcot (some of our best character experiences have been in Epcot)! Although, my children would enjoy Epcot just fine without them - they like Epcot!
My first trip to Le Cellier lived up to it's reputation and then some! Amazing server and amazing food!

I hate Fantasmic, but I'm stressing about being able to see it this trip because it's my friend's favorite show

I don't ever want to meet characters and this cuts down on my dining options a lot

In fact, while I do enjoy Disney movies (who doesn't?), I'm a fan of the Disney parks, not everything the company does and it annoys me how little merchandise there is for the parks that doesn't have a character on it

Don't care for pineapple so I won't be trying any Dole Whip/Floats

If they put Epcot in DL, I would go there instead of WDW

I LOVE it's a small world

Agree with whoever said they could spend a day following the Citizens of Hollywood around

Future World's BGM just may be my favorite music in WDW

-I don't really care for Epcot. If not for Test Track & Soarin...I would pass it up entirely.
-I hate the way Dinoland is built on a parking lot and you can still see the lines on the pavement...really, Disney? how bout workin some magic and laying some new concrete.
-I don't want to deal with the characters...I don't need to meet you, keep walkin.
-turkey legs totally gross me out.
-I too have an issue with ppl that don't need the wheel chairs. I am no longer the lean mean fighting machine I used to be, but I still manage to walk it. Handicap, disease, injury, elderly ...by all means get that wheelchair...otherwise ya need to walk it out...I'm just sayin...
-I really dont care about Spectramagic...I'm too busy comparing to DL electric parade...it's just not the same, especially the music.
-I could live without Hollywood studios

but my darkest secret is probably...and this is awful...there are times when I want to go by myself and leave my kids at home:confused: It hasn't happened..yet. Parent of the year...that's me!

They did that on purpose I believe. Read it somewhere (could have been these forums)

nevermind...I found a thread about it. I know the backstory and I still think it looks cheap and lazy...still don't like it...still one of my dark secrets.:p

Hmmm.....

I am 26 and get just as excited (if not teary eyed) as all the children on the bus when we pull up to MK and see Cinderella's Castle!

Despite all the headaches, I love DME (never having to pick up my bags at the airport is fine by me, even if they do come a few hours late!)

I am still to this day absolutely terrified to go on Snow White's Scary Adventures (the witch seriously creeps me out!!)

I am secretly putting off having kids so I can go on my annual Disney vacation (I know, it's bad!! :)

  • I actually like Dinoland. Alot. I really like Dinosaur. I love Primeval Whirl.
  • I actually like DAK. Alot. It's my second favorite park now, behind Epcot.
  • I think Test Track is the best attraction on property.
  • I think IllumiNations:ROE is unbearably awful as was Tapestry of Nations. I think naming them "IllumiNations" is a disgrace to the original versions that actually individually "Illuminated the Nations" of WS.
  • Turkey legs make me sick.
  • I miss Sorcery in the Skies.
  • I cried during PhilharMagic. Don't ask.
  • I think Buzz Lightyear AstroBlasters is more outdated than CoP.
  • I always bump the cars. :)
  • I think BoardWalk is one of the worst resorts on property to actually stay at. It's layout is awful and there's no quick service restaurants.
  • With the exception of the food at the Japan Pavilion, I think the restaurants in Epcot are vastly overrated.
  • The best salad on property is the Greek Salad at Cosmic Rays. We get it all the time.
  • And some other stuff that's not appropriate for this forum. :king:

  • i loved the wand
  • i love the hat
  • i could easily skip AK without a thought
  • i hate country bear jamboree
  • i think illuminations is overrated
  • same goes for dole whips (and their floats)
  • ive been terrified of honey i shrunk the audience since i rode it in 3rd grade
  • i don't really like minnie mouse or daisy duck
  • i believe fantasmic! is the best show on the property
  • i think Cinderella is a very boring Disney movie
  • hall of presidents is THE most boring attraction on property...i'd rather watch a circle vision movie and thats saying a lot
  • i hate watching someone in a wheelchair roll up and get on the bus first with their whole family while i've been waiting
  • BUT AS MANY DARK SECRETS AS I HAVE...I WILL ALWAYS KEEP GOING BACK FOR MORE!!!

I actually got used to the wand & loved it like crazy.

I also will admit that TLS was nice, but perhaps a bit on the boring side.

Of course, that was when I was finishing elementary school. :lookaroun

And I think those tarps are cool & EPCOT-esque...

Hmmmm....
- No interest at all in "meeting" the characters.
- Hate character meals and set menus.
- I like Dinorama. I don't love it....but I get it.
- Epcot just makes me go
- Would trade any single ride (or Epcot) for Adventurers Club.
- Hate the ADR system and dining plan.
- I know what the "Best Kept Disney Secret" and am seriously tired of hearing about it.
- I have helped out guests in the parks while wearing an old CM name tag on my lanyard.

Agree on these as well... :dazzle:

Except the first one somewhat. I usually see people under the fur even though I should be seeing them as 'real'. Not sure why...
