What's Next at the Studios?

it's just an exhibit for the grown ups :D

It wouldn't even need to be.

It's not like it would feature animatronics of Bree's husband and Sharon Lawrence reenacting their famous scenes as you peer in the window. ;)

(On second thought...just kidding!)

There wouldn't have to be any content at all - let alone adult content. Just the facades of the houses, which are built on other famous facades.

An interesting dichotomy then - there would be the "real" set at Universal Hollywood, and a "fake" set at Disney-MGM. Something tells me there would either be a legal snafu or just a matter of pride. I could so see USH countering any possible ABC-MGM Studios tie-in "Come visit Wisteria!" with "Come see the REAL Wisteria with REAL Stars!".

I don't think it's gonna happen, but it so should. I'd have to go through and have my picture taken with every house. It would be better than the live set because you could actually get out and walk-around.

That would be SO much fun.

I believe the (excellent) Cinemagique hasn`t been cloned yet is due to copyright. With the ammount of music amd footage from various films used in it I heard it is not licensed to be shown out of France. Shame - great candidate!

Another (cloned) idea is Armageddon from WDSP. This could easily fit into a soundstage (or probably SStar TV) - even though it is a complex show facilities wise (extraction system, fireproofing, airtight chambers and reduced air pressure etc.) it takes up a relativley small ammount of room.

but Cinemagique would make for a really great updated thesis attraction for Disney-MGM Studios....In my opinion they should have exported that instead of LMAX

Replace The Drew Carrey sound show or the "Who Want's to Be A Millionaire Play It!" with a "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" comedy show.
I completely agree. Whose Line is it Anyway is the funniest show in the world and it would be nice to have a Disney version in the park. Maybe on special occasions, they can have the real performers play (like when Meridith Vierra hosts Millionaire Play it). If I could give you good rep points, I would. The only thing I would change from what you posted is the location. I think it should go into the vacant Superstar theater.

the studios is one of my favorite parks, BUT...

Redo the backlot tour completely, and beef it up,

VOTLM needs a rehab, and rework in the story, and new effects, or change the show completely

Sounds dangerous is a waste of space, i like this attraction, but the majority of guests are bored after the first minute of show

fill the abc theater with a good show, maybe cinemagique, or just something...

star tours need a new show, or new ride concept. motion simulators are a dime a dozen now, and travel to every mall in the country. if it has to stay a motion sim., make it 3D, or something...

indy needs to be taken out, and replaced with an indy themed e-ticket, one stunt show is plenty

beauty and the beast is nothing but boring to me now. i used to enjoy this show, but i can't even sit through it anymore. being as popular as bab is, they need to enclose the theater, make it air conditioned, and add new broadway style effects. the show is losing appeal over the years, and the stage is looking really bad.

WWTBAM - LOVE IT.

One man's dream... --keep it

muppet vision needs to be redone. the effects are way out of date. keep the muppets, keep the 3D, make a new movie.

add another muppets ride, preferrable a dark ride with animatronics, and not statues, like snow white, SO MUCH POTENTIAL FOR A GOOD DARK RIDE.

create a pixar movie land, with all pixar characters, and attractions.

studios needs a water based ride... either a flume, or water coaster, or river rapids ride.

fantasmic! - take out pocahontas, insert peter pan.

streetmosphere... the best thing on property imo.

someone else said to add a sci-fi themed ride around star tours, EXCELLENT IDEA, even with sci-fi dine in being right there... it makes a lot of sense to theme an area of a theme park about movies, to the sci-fi genre. great idea!

GMR - update update update. new movies, keep some, ditch others. (mainly keep wizard of oz, john wayne, singing in the rain, and mary poppins, but mary needs a new room. there is way too much to do for mary poppins other than have her floating with a pole in her back.

you guys should check out the streetmosphere shows at the studios. they are usually 30 minute improv shows, and probably between 5 and 7 a day. very funny, and my favorite thing on studios property!

What about a thrill ride or dark ride themed to the cheesy fifties ED Wood style Sci-Fi movies that they show previews of at the SciFi Drive in resteraunt. Theming and AA's all in Black and White to make you think you have actually enteed a b&w movie with cheesy UFO's and giant monsters and cool B movie stuff like that.

I've always wanted disney to create a completely black and white environment...I used o want a Stemboat willie ride...but this would be a great addition near Star Tours

Incase you didn't know, Pixar and Disney kind of, well did, fall out, and are no longer making new movies together. 'Cars' will be the last film released between the two companies.

Yeah, I know. But could Disney still use the name of the company in a name of an attraction? I'm sure they'll still have to say Disney/Pixar somewhere, right?

On the second page of this thread are even more great ideas. It's a shame that the Studios is such a small park, because there are so many potential attractions out there for it and most of them probably won't happen.

I think now that they have the LMAX stunt show they need to get rid of the Indy Stunt Show. It's very old and in my personal opinion I don't think the majority of guest consider it a classic attraction or anything. I think they should keep the Indy theme but just build a ride there.

They also need to do something about Star Tours. Star Wars is pretty much one of the best themes you can have. There are limitless possibilities. But I think Star Tours is just plain bad and they need a whole new Star Wars attraction to replace it.

Yeah, I love these shows. The people are so funny. I still would like a WL show that had WLiiA? games like Hoedown, Scenes from a Hat, and Greatest Hits.

even with not having pixar anymore, disney will still have buzz lightyear's space ranger spin and meet and greets with toy story and monsters inc. characters, so there still is a small chance of another attraction based on an old disney/pixar movie

After seeing LMAX yesterday, it kicks IJESS's butt. So, with all these rumors about an Indy ride replacing it, I'm all for an Indy ride replacing the stunt show.

Yeah, it could also be a guest participation attraction where members of the audience are the players.

You know when disney's movie atlantis came out, on the backlot tour there was a huge sign saying "Journey to Atlantis" in the drive through production/clothes designer room. For about 2 years i thought they were making a ride for it behind IJ stunt show. I dont know why i did but i got sooo happy thinking it was gonna be a flume ride... so yea i think they need a flume ride to some extent.

Also replace Drew Careys show, Beauty and the beast, and that empty theater...
